A liquid that changes from blue to green indicates the presence of exhaust gases. The breath you exhale can be used to test its effectiveness.

What I thought was different is not what it is and I need to rethink

I will have to return the item since it's not what I expected. In order to test the propane and oxygen connections, I required a soapy solution. It has something to do with engines and gasoline. It might be a good product, but it's not what I was looking for.
