The valve is a safety feature on a high pressure pump, so it will not damage itself in case of low pressure or running dry. These machines have only ever been used in water sources for big cities or I should say, in big water service operations
Yes, that is correct Be a boss like no other! It is possible to use either a rubber tip tube adapter (held in place) or a 18mm screw-on adapter The flexible hose is enclosed in a brass adapter. It will also operate as a steam engine on the Cleveland (Boss 302) or Windsor 302/289.

Selected User Reviews For Compression Tester, 8PCS Cylinder Pressure Gauge for Petrol Gas Engine
During the rebuild of my 77 280Z, I bought this compression tester to verify the health of the cylinders. I searched all over for a problem that could cause the car to have low vacuum but that didn't work. As I expected, this product came thoroughly packaged and I was confident that it would work fine. My actual readings on the six cylinders ranged from 120 to 126 psi, well below the target range of 150 to 180 psi. The engine had to be torn down and rebuilt at this point, I was fairly sure. I was urged to try again by a friend of mine on an enthusiast forum who doubted the validity of the results. "Snap-on" compact camera is my new toy With the "On" brand tester from my mechanic, I performed the exact same procedure and obtained pressure readings from 158 to 165 psi. It is possible that I would have spent a lot of time and money on unnecessary engine work if I had trusted the results of the Amazon tester. I did not give this product a star because it fails to fulfill its primary purpose.
My mini cooper didn't have the adapters to test its compression with a compression tester, but I already owned a compression tester. Less than two of the adapters on the tool truck were in this set. As well designed and built as my SnapOn tester, it shows up on the screen without fail. Purchase this product and you won't be disappointed.
It was of great quality at an amazing price. This is a handy little tool that will keep you organized. As I mentioned, I will not be using this unit daily or even something close to that, but it appears to be fine for my purposes. For the price, this is a great deal.
Two of the packages were delivered way before the expected time which is a huge plus for me, and they are working perfectly. As for the price, it was very low compared to other competitors and I am exceedingly satisfied with my purchase. My recommendation would be definitely to.
The compression tester I used was 10 pounds low when compared to the standard. The brass adapters fit most cars and trucks, and the hoses are long enough. It is similar to my other tester, but it is well built.
An economical way to get the job done. I have used it on two tests so far, and it worked fine. It appears that the price is reasonable and that both tool and accessories are I guess I should have expected better for less than $20 shipped right to my door, but the case is a bit flimsy.
I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to use. I will not order another since this one seems to work well. If I had a friend, I'd recommend it to them.
Sorry but we cannot return it after 30 days because there are no easy returns and you will always get incredibly different readings for the same cylinder no matter how often I also had to reconnect and fix the gauge connection, as it fell apart. It's hard for me to believe that this product is sold as an accurate product for someone testing such a critical part as an engine for a car or tractor. I used it as a spare in my second shop since I had to keep my brand name gauge at both locations. Sadly, unless the seller offers to refund me or accept it back, it has to go to the dump. If you are going to spend a lot more money, then it is certainly worth it to buy a better quality name brand tester. Use a product that may suggest that you have a dead cylinder when in reality it's fine, or if it shows a good reading on one and in reality it has cracked rings, cracked pistons, or goesuges on the sleeves or bore (see picture)! The gauge gave an acceptable reading, but this is clearly not possible, so it is useless. I have attached a picture for your reference!
The cylinder and piston I was working on had a pressure measurement within acceptable tolerances for the Allis Chalmers engine I was in charge of. When I noticed that all four of my cylinders showed the same reading, I knew something was wrong. Throughout my 30+ year long professional and hobby small engine/agriculture mechanic career, I have never had all 4 cylinders show the same reading, then another reading 30- degrees, then a reading-40 degrees and then another reading-50 degrees. A defect item will show up in a test 50% different from the previous one. look at the picture there, you'll see that piston and bore ought to have 0 psi and nothing more. I hope you find my review useful if it was offered by one mechanic offering assistance to I appreciate your kind words.
