Questions & Answers

Can you tell me how long the warranty is?

Simple and robust, this tool is ideal for everyday tasks. does not appear to be covered by a warranty, but I'm not sure how important it is.

Does the spreader fit between the calipers if the space allows it ?

I am not sure, but I have never found a caliper that wouldn't fit on a car, truck, van, or motorcycle

What about single piston calipers? Does this tool work with them?

I think so, but it Sorry about that. It's a computer with a large screen that I use most often One of the worn brake pads is combined with the clamp. As soon as I checked my toolbox, I found out that you need to space the worn pad at least 14mm apart. Additionally, I see that I have barely used it in the last year. I would say that in the end, it is a nice to have item, but I would not purchase it. The best option is probably to use clamps.

I've had this for decades and it's still going strong! A tool like this has been in my toolbox for decades, and I like how easy it is to use and how compact it is
5/5

Please make sure to put your new pads in the caliper first, as it may be necessary to push the pistons back far enough for them to reach In addition, I open the bleeder screw when I spread the pads to release the old fluid from the caliper. Don't forget to tighten the bleeder screw before removing the tool, so the caliper doesn't fill back up with air. The manuals I've read do not all suggest doing this and some have had ABS problems when forcing the fluid back into the system, but I believe it's worth doing regardless, since it doesn't hurt. It is recommended to lubricate the pressure screw of the tool with a little different fluid or similar, because it makes it easier for the tool to work.

The four piston caliper works well with this
4/5

The reason I bought this is that I'm constantly switching street and track pads out of the after market four piston calipers I have on my front. In the past, squeezing the pistons on these has always been a pain in the neck, and this tool works better than any other I've seen so Probably one of the best tools I have ever used It is not at all frail. It has a very nice scissor design. It's a simple and effective way to protect your assets I mostly prefer using the mechanical spreader over the ratchet type spreader that I got (a total waste of money). In order to be accurate, you should carefully position it since the spreaders themselves are quite narrow, and if you don't pay attention, you can compress the pistons unevenly. It is only the size of the handle that I dislike. When you twist it to expand the tool, it expands too dramatically. There's just a little too little leverage for it to be useful in certain situations. A small pipe can easily be slipped over the handle in order to fix this problem. As a whole, I'm very happy with the product. Thank you for selling it to me.

It is used to spread brake pads for disc brakes
4/5

This may not be the most popular tool for retracting caliper pistons, but it does the job quite effectively. I found it very easy to use, as it is well built and not as cumbersome as a C- Hold on tight. I would only have preferred if the turning screw would be a little longer, but other than that, it works quite well.

This is perfect
5/5

In addition to being exceptionally simple yet sturdy and effective, this device has also had the advantage of fitting right into RTVs. I've always used C clamps before, but sometimes they didn't work. The tool is suitable for use on a 4 piston caliper, and I am happy with it. Purchased a second one to store in my toolbox at work.

It works perfectly, and it's of nice quality
5/5

As a result, replacing the brake pads is made much easier when replacing this product. The product is well made, to begin with. As there are no sharp edges, your brake pistons and discs are less likely to be scratched. Furthermore, it seems to be much easier than working with a C-type font Hold on tight. You will only have problems if you run your brakes pads really low, so there is very little space between the piston and the disc. In its fully closed position, this spreader may not be small enough to fit between the two. It is necessary to make room for this item by using something else. The pistons on both sides of the caliper are what make this device work well with dual piston or quad piston calipers. If you could also use this for a single-user computer, it would be really useful By using the spreader, you can use a two-sided caliper by first placing the old pad in place, then installing the new pad on the opposite side.

I found it to be extremely useful
5/5

This spreader has become an integral part of my shop and I have no regrets about Any caliper with 4 or 6 pistons can be fitted with it. You may pull the caliper off the vehicle while the pads are still attached and place a tool between the pads to spread them apart. There should be one of these in every tool box.

This is a great tool! It's so much better to have found THIS brake tool instead of the bulky one I had previously used The brake tool consists of a wheel attached to an all threaded tubing
5/5

In retrospect, I wish I had bought this 30 years ago, so I could have avoided much fumbling with the combination of a large, C-type printer and a large C-type printer There is one clamp and one block of oakwood. There are several uses for this little tool, including Compact and strong. I find this to be very functional.
