It is highly unlikely the vehicle is made in the US since it is listed among car manufacturers and models The model(s) include Citroen, Ford Telstar, Nissan Primera, Renault, and many others. My assumption is that it is somewhere in Asia

In short, yes.

Do the notches on the adapters need to be present for this to work? Can this be used to compress pistons without rotating them?

There is a plate that enables you to send a piston in just by pushing it in

Do you know if this method is going to work on a 2007 VW Passat?

Getting the job done should be straightforward
3/5

Buying from people who return after doing a single break is a sign they are not trustworthy. Having not yet tried the product, I can tell this is a used kit because it arrived with visible signs of use. On the caliper spreaders as well as all over the container, there are grease marks and wear marks. As I thought this would be a new product, I am disappointed.

I am very I was surprised by how well it went
5/5

It has been 53 years since I have worked on cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Aside from being a tool freak, I also enjoy reading and writing. It is my simple pleasure to love well The tools that were made. There are so many tools in my shop that when people visit, they are stunned by the magnitude of it all. An oddity in my tool set is that I lack caliper piston compressors. My lack of knowledge of them is simply due to never having Since I've begun working in this field more than a decade ago, I've done thousands of brake jobs, and most of them do not require spin down the caliper piston as it is compressed. I rely on a quick-action caliper to do the job. There is a clamp or fast-action bar clamp that can be used It's faster and more efficient to use a tool like this for calipers that don't require spinning the piston, so I'll continue to do it this way for those. In any case, I'll be doing two brake jobs within the next couple of months which I think will require spinning the pistons of the calipers, so I used that as an excuse to add yet This is a very impressive set, which I just received. It surprised me to read some reviews that claim to have parts that bent due to soft metal. I can only imagine that their set came from a different manufacturer and maybe that a new model of telephone came out In my set of tools, every part is made of good quality heavy steel and the handle and thrust bolt (threaded part) are made of pot metal like a lot of cheap tools from ten or twenty years ago. My first impression is that the threads are smooth and precise. I haven't used the tools yet, but I examined their fine details and I am a fan of good workmanship. There are a lot of good tools here. This is simply impossible since neither the thrust bolt nor the T-bolt could strip during use There is a possibility of the handles bending. On top of that, the blow-outs also That molded case looks really nice. I had seen a video in which someone tried to use a set similar to this and they struggled to adjust the piston adapter. Falling off kept happening to it. Nevertheless, I was very surprised when I found out that this tool has a magnetic base on which the adapters fit. A strong adhesive holds the adapters in place, so they won't In my previous comment, I noted that there was a time when the majority of inexpensive tools were made of pot metal or otherwise so poorly made that they were almost However, those days are over thankfully. It is true there are still some cheap tools available now and then, but they are much less common than they were. When I started my large tool collection back in the 1960's, I don't regret it one bit. If you ask me about the 1970s, I would normally expect to pay well over $100 (in 1970s dollars) for a tool set of this type. With today's prices, you may find them astonishing. The key to buying tools is just to be careful. The total price was less than $22 for this tool set, including free shipping and no taxes. 30 or 40 years ago, I would have thought you were crazy if you had told me I could do that. In the end, this is a great value assuming that you get the same set that I received. Many products today look exactly the same, but they come from different manufacturers so you may not get the same thing that I did. I am sure that you will be delighted if you succeed.

This kit contains everything you need
4/5

A tool that offers all the options is what I like. C clamps have always been used on my vehicles and I have always replaced all the brakes myself. As more modern vehicles have become available, it seemed like a good time to step up my skills. I am never sure when an automobile will have wind-back brakes. My first impression of the tools is that they are very substantial, and their metal parts are of good quality. I think the case is decendant, but could stand to The pieces pop into markers that have been marked for specific holder spots. Several pieces were out of place on the inside of the case when I first opened it. It seemed reasonable to clip them all back in their places since delivery workers can be rough on things. 3 of the pieces had come loose and were sliding around next time I opened it. I just wish the plastic were a little thicker so the lid could hold all those pens securely in place, but it does great as a holder. It was an overall good experience, and I would buy it again if necessary.

Brake changing equipment that is well made
3/5

There are no visible signs of damage. Despite having examined the components, I have not yet tried the product. There were lots of black marks on the bits, and the container looked dirty. I didn't mind getting it dirty anyway, so it wouldn't last forever. The price is a bit high for what you receive. If it works well once my brake pads arrive and I have the opportunity to utilize it, I will give it 5 stars. A brief update As far as I'm concerned, it served my brake job just fine. There were a few issues with using it. It kept falling off the round attachment at the end. There should have been room for the pin to extrude and insert, rather than remain attached to the pin. The hex nut had to be held in place with the wrench and the caliper with one hand while the other was used to twist the end. It was quite an ordeal. Despite the fact that the rear brakes seem to be twisting square nuts, it does not appear to have any. A T-shaped bar runs down each side, one on the left and one on the What's the point of having a left and a There's no sense in that at all. All calipers will be pushed back inside on either the left or right side based on where you select the There is a long handle on one end of this tool, which is why I call it a T tool. There was a kit for both front and back, but I thought it was an entire kit. My opinion is that it is not the case. Buying the caliper tool separately without extra rings may be the best thing to do.

My experience with this product has been excellent on half a dozen cars so far
4/5

This ball is only a problem because of its metal. I give this kit 5 stars for its function and My experience with this product has been excellent on half a dozen cars so far. I believe the only problem is the metal used to make it is definitely Chlneesium. In order to generate leverage, I had a stuck caliper that I was trying to get back and the top lever for generating it bent easily. through hand force I was cheating, but not so much as to be unreasonable. There are many advantages to this set that will meet your needs, so don't let its lack of color ruin it for you. It can be difficult to wind back a caliper with enough leverage, so you might be doing it poorly. I was the same way.

It was a job well done
4/5

The rear brake rotor was used on Volvo C70s from 2008 up to 2012. In the beginning, I tried to retract the piston by inserting the ends of a large needle nose pliers into the detents in the piston face while simultaneously turning and pushing in at the same time, but it would not move. The 8milelake 21-piece kit was ordered for my convenience since I didn't know if the smaller kit would contain the necessary adapters (it turned out to be fine to use the smaller kit). When I finally found the correct adapter (after some trial and error), I was able to retract the piston, although it took a little while to get used to it. Despite its fragile appearance, the components seem well made and the blow molded case keeps all the pieces inside protected. Overall, I am pleased with this value. The instructions could be a bit clearer, but I am satisfied with the result.
