There was a little sticking in the piston of a caliper, so I pushed it out further than what it was at. Repeat a few times by pushing it back in and out. You can let the car air out and get rid of any crud build up, especially if you don't drive your car all When I use a C-, I usually just use it The piston had been removed. I was going to use a clamp to get it back in, but saw this and thought it might work. My experience was much faster and easier when I did it that way. Right away, it was obvious from the weight that this was a heavy duty device. This stainless steel knob is made from thick metal that will last a long time. It states that a 5/16-inch wrench can be used on it. It can be used with an 8mm socket as well, but since the knob is large enough I didn't even need a socket.

Steel is not the best material. only reason I bought it was because I was fooled by the "heavy duty" pictures on the packaging. There are some plastic parts on the knob, so it is not an all-steel construction. It would have been cheaper for me to buy a cheaper spreader if I knew this. In any case, the construction is solid and the knob comes off as a We just wanted to make sure people were The durability of this tool is probably not a key factor for me since I won't be using it that often.

Almost every vehicle will not be able to benefit from this. This is a good place to start. What's the reason? A pure opening needs to be on one end of your caliper. For those of you with 6 piston or even 4 piston calipers, the two ends are cover metal and there is no place to put this tool. This was a waste of time. After I bought one type, I bought another.

The castings and steel are heavy duty and machined to the highest standards. As a foot, it is made of machined steel, thus it will be durable and not disintegrate. There is a lot of steel plate, which is rigid and thick. With my other tools, I was unable to compress one Brake Caliper Piston, but this tool did the trick. One of the best things about the plate is that its threaded insert is completely welded into the plate so it can never be spun out. knob will do for most situations, but when the going gets tough, the hex head comes in handy because it allows you to get torque quickly when needed.

This is a great A job that is overbuilt for me is one of my favorite things. Most of the other ones everyone else has are cheap and get bent or the threads break. Unlike this one, it won't work that way. Additionally, the design allows it to collapse smaller, which is ideal for rear calipers with tiny dimensions.
