As a result, this product did not move the piston in the caliper.
If it was a single piston or a double piston, I don't see why it couldn't work.

If you were to rate it from 1 to 5, it would get a 10 out of 5. Every single person I've ever met has had their brakes changed by me. Probably not but I definitely do at least 15 brake jobs for friends and family for free every year. It is the first time I have used this tool and it is the easiest way I've ever used to do It's actually my intention to purchase a few more of these tonight. The one I already own is broken, but I want to buy this in case something happens to that one. I've got so many brake tools, but this one is definitely my favorite. It's also cheap as hell for what you get. Due to the first one's success, I now have 3 of these in my collection. Changing brakes has never been my favorite thing to do, but I've done it for 34 years. Saving money was just a part of the reason I did it and helping others save money was the other part. Though I have all the tools necessary to make it easier, I lack the impact. No matter what reason I had, I just did not enjoy doing it. Are you lazy? I don't know. The only thing I know for sure is that I am excited now and eagerly await The large C clamp is no longer an option for me. In addition to this specialized tool, I also have a number of other specialty tools. This tool is definitely better than most others in terms of quality. This heavy duty material is indeed strong. The chevy tahoe ltz with the max brake package had it on the truck, where it was so easy to push the large dual pistons The tool I had with me could have easily pushed these pistons back with my 3 year old granddaughter. In fact, it's that simple that you can grab the caliper by one hand and do the job with the other. Not a single problem to be found, not even the slightest Despite that, I should have changed my pads sooner because I waited so long that the pad was gone and I screwed up my rotors by doing it after the fact. Brakes irritated me to the point of aversion. Over a year ago, I had the pads sitting in my drawer waiting for mine to wear out. The only reason I didn't do brakes up until now is that I simply did not like them. Below is a picture of one of my socket drawers for those of you who may think that I am just a guy with very few tools who has no idea what I'm doing. In the world of tools, I'm a huge fan. There are dozens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of tools I own.
When the load is low, the brakes can be applied easily. My first thought is to wonder what was the engineer's thinking when he designed it. Would it not be much easier to put threaded flange behind the plate instead of on top of it? Due to the way this is done, it is just a rip-off. On my first attempt, I broke this tool because I tried it on one stubborn cylinder. Even if the flange had been put in front of the plate and I could still use this, I can't understand why it wouldn't have been better if it was done from the start without the braking. I can see how this is a simple, straightforward modification and this tool would never break. Or maybe that's what's important to remember?.
We used this to replace the brake pads and the rotors on our Simple and effective, the tool does its job well. It is possible to compress the breaks using a C clamp, but this tool works just as well, and if C clamps aren't available, this tool will fit since it goes over where the brake pads are. This tool is well made and it is very easy to insert the caliper using one of the old pads. I recommend it for those who work on their own brakes.
My 2013 Audi S4 required new brake pads, so I used this to replace the rear brake pads. As soon as the electronic parking brakes were retractable using an ODBII Foxwell NT614 unit, it was easy to push the piston back so that the new brake pads would fit. It is not a requirement, but it makes it a lot.
I had no problems with the calipers on my Golf GTI. Because if the piston is extended beyond the starting point, it is very difficult to get it started.
There is a probable cause of this if your pads are nearing the end of their useful life.
I actually had to use groove joint pliers to get it started and to continue through the first few revolutions. I did not understand it at all! I thought that if the knob was removable there would be a 3/8" or 1/2" square socket or any hex-shaped mount It has a head that can be used with a ratchet or wrench. Once it's started, you'll find that the knob makes it easy to operate. I still am glad I had it, even if it was a bit too much to ask for at this price.
In the same way that you can save time and frustration with the right tools for every car job, you'll need the right gear. In order to release the piston from the calipers, this tool is light and inexpensive. A C clamp has been used by me before, but it is big, heavy, and hard to use. With this tool you can do the same job as a C clamp, only Considering that it costs the same price as a couple of coffees, this capris tool is a bargain.
A heavy duty model is the focus of this review. My recent single piston brake job made it much easier to use than a C clamp, although I am sure there will be a bit of fumbling with a dual piston setup and having to use an old brake pad to compress them both at the same time. There is only one downside. I think the socket head that sticks up through the top of the knob is actually the top of the screw it is metal, but the knob appears to be plastic. This means that the knob could easily be stripped out if a hard job is required. Although, at least if it does strip out you still have the option of using the socket head, which you wouldn't be able to do It isn't likely that it will ever happen, no matter how easy it was to turn the knob and compress the piston. It is not nearly as heavy as I expected, but it sure does what it is supposed to do, and I do not foresee it ever being pushed past its limit. This is a great tool to have in my toolbox and was truly worth and even more than I expected.
A brake system that is normal functioning will benefit from the use of this product. I used this tool to force the lower piston back into the driver's side brake caliper after it became stuck in the position it was in during my most recent brake job on the 2009 Nissan Frontier. My attempt to collapse the frozen piston using this tool failed due to product weld failure. *Please note Although the original had failed, I ordered a replacement because it works under normal conditions, and the ability to attach a drill to this tool makes it so much easier to compress the piston(s).
