A direct replacement for the original. In the assembly, there is a new pressure switch as well as a check valve. br>NEW ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 1- This was installed and used for more than six months, until the end of November. It's become a nightmare just to replace this part! Because of an issue, I'll have to change my rating: The new pressure regulator operates at a much higher pressure than the old one did. We are unable to lower it to less than 55-degrees Fahrenheit. 60 PSI. Our system was designed to work at a speed of 40 miles per hour. This one was originally set to 70-PSI, and the higher pressure caused numerous leaks. 75 PSI ! To accommodate leaks, we had to completely rebuild the system. The root cause was discovered when I looked at the pressure gauge. We've also noticed that we're wasting more water and that resetting the shower temperature is proving difficult. All of these are unintended consequences of replacing an OEM part! If I am unable to resolve this problem, an auxiliary pressure regulator may be required.
My boat's blasters failed after a few years, as did two of the pressure switches. This part was ordered, and I was able to repair one of them. However, as I was replacing the pressure body and switch, I realized that I didn't need to replace the entire body. Only the micro switch on the inside of the body is activated. So I ordered a micro switch (Omron V-1) for the second pump. 2C26- For $2, you can get a (K) from Digikey. 50 dollars plus two dollars It cost $60 to ship, but it resolved the issue. The entire switch housing does not need to be replaced. This micro-controller is held in place by six screws at the bottom of the housing. switch. It now works flawlessly after replacing the micro switch. It isn't necessary to buy the entire house. Furthermore, this housing has zinc screws and exposed wire connections, whereas my original had stainless screws and no exposed wire connections. I only run in saltwater, and we all know how zinc steel performs in such conditions (it doesn't). So, if you have SS screws and exposed wire connections, you should definitely replace the micro-controller. switch. br>br>Instead of buying a new pump, you can fix it for $5. br>br>Steve br>Steve br>Steve br>Steve b.
My pump continued to turn over. I was always on the lookout for a leak. Finally, after disassembling the pump, I discovered some hairline cracks on the outlet side (which allowed pressure to bleed back into the supply side, triggering the pressure switch). We'd been in a deep freeze for quite some time). The issue has been resolved.
My pressure switch had failed and was leaking, so I had to replace it. (The two wires are connected to that box on top. ) The motor, on the other hand, was still in good working order. br>I replaced this part, and the pump now functions better than it did before. br>There are no leaks, and the pressure feels like it did before.
The Shurflo pump is a good pump that has a major flaw. If your domestic water system on your boat or RV doesn't have a large accumulator reservoir, the pressure switch on the pump will wear out much sooner than the pump itself. For $150 - $200, you can get a new pump. or buy a new upper housing kit with a new pressure switch for less than $20, like this one. It'll only take you ten minutes to complete. After a 15-minute job to replace the housing, you're good to go for another 2-hour session. 3 years. This is the second time I've done it.
Due to insufficient winterization, my old one froze and cracked. It met my needs for a replacement.
This was installed on my 2088-based computer. 554- Shurflo pump with a capacity of 144 gallons. The installation was straightforward, and the fit and finish were comparable to that of an OEM replacement. If I needed something else in the future, I would buy it again.
