Questions & Answers

It seems that the screen is around 1/4 to 1/2 inch too big. I measured like I was supposed to. The next size down will probably be too small, am I right?

The same problem is plaguing me as well. There is about an inch too much space between the screen and the edges. As instructed, I followed the ordering process.

Is there a reason that the 26" is so much more expensive?

I have no idea. Directly contacting the company would be the best route.

How well can the screen protector be used if your camper has steps that fold up?

The item was supposed to but didn't fit so I wasn't able to tell you

The dog keeper keeps the Camper screen door from being damaged by dogs
5/5

I have no problems with it fitting my camper door. A little mistake has been made in the measurement. The measure is not based on the size of Take the measurement from the door frame or check the label on the door frame to find the entry door size mine is a 30" entry door (size protector was ordered) and my screen door is about 28" where it fits (once again 30" is the right measurement for this door).

I would like you to read this It is vital that you select the right size for your RV Intended solely for Lippert doors, this screen does not fit other doors
4/5

It is not necessary to follow the Amazon size recommendations. Look for the sticker on the inside of your Lippert door to tell you the size of the door. I have a 30" Lippert rv door. It was the perfect size for me for the 30". On the basis of the instructions from the video on Amazon, I almost purchased a 28". The reviews were very helpful, so I went back and read them. Because of this, I am just adding another verification review here in order to add validity to the other reviews. There are also unclear instructions for installing the software. After following the instructions and using some common sense, I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. There are two small dogs in our house. It might be necessary to get a more durable unit for a large dog.

This looks a lot better than my DIY, so I think you should use the main door size
4/5

If you have an entry door, there is a sticker inside the jamb which specifies the size to use. Please DO NOT use your screen door size as a guide, use the door size of the main entry or door!.

The size of the display is misleading, however
5/5

For traveling with our dog, we bought this for the Micro Minnie RV. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to install and how well it worked when I got the right size. Our door is 24", so we bought the 24". It was too small on the screen. We had a 22 on our door. The screen will be cut out in 5". According to the instructions that came with the original purchase, we needed a 22" door screen defender that fit a 26". The screen is cut out on a 5" size. Installing the next size up was a snap after returning and getting the next size up. Without tools, I was able to complete the project in less than 5 minutes. As of now, it seems sturdy and will prevent us from having to screen the door again after a dog camp.

You must follow the instructions when measuring
5/5

We have a 2020 Cardinal and I loved the screen door protector, it would have been great to keep the cats inside and safe in my RV. If they made a larger size, I would have bought one. The width of the screen is 29 inches the width of the door is 31 inches. The thickness of half an inch. They only have the largest size for 30 inch doors, which is 26 inches. Because of my sloppy math, I rounded it down to 30 inches, and that was the largest size they have. The thickness of a half-inch. Rather than removing the two springs and installing the bottom, the simple operation would have been to insert the bottom in place and to pull. Tabs were loaded at the top so it would fit properly. I have to go back inside. I wish they came in a larger size.

The door was exactly as described
5/5

I read the instructions on measuring, ordered the door that would match my measurements, it came, I opened it and popped it into the door, perfect fitting. As soon as I added the larger spacer at the bottom, it was complete, it only took a few The fit is perfect, and the style is fantastic! The only thing I wish was taller is that it was wider. As long as I put the spacer at the bottom, I have 6 This product has a gap of 8 inches above the screen protector that is unprotected, but I would still consider purchasing it in the future. In fact, I am purchasing another to add to the top section of the door, not so much to prevent an accident with four legs, but rather to prevent an accident with two legs not watching what they are doing.

We were able to put it on our Lippert door with no problem! While it seems to have mixed reviews, when my two small dogs tore up the screen so quickly, I thought I'd give it a shot
5/5

It took me a few attempts to do it right. I measured and rounded up just as the instructions said. The bottom of the filler pieces fell out until he realized he had to fit them snugly over the bottom edge of the door and then push the top of it There are teeth in the fillers that allow them to be held in place and they would fit in many different sizes of top and bottom of the side panels are firmly in place, but the sides have a small gap. Now that the screen has been reinforced, our two little boys won't be able to rip it off and the door will be When you're installing, just be sure to measure everything. Happy to have found this website.

However, it is a great design
4/5

However, there were two things that kept the rating from being 5 stars. When determining what sizes to order, the directions say to measure the opening first, then go an inch up from that. Honestly, I am pretty good at reading directions, but I still had a few difficulties. You don't just measure the screen width on their website, I don't know why they don't just ask you that. It would be easier and more accurate if you did that. This is the second one I ordered, and the first was My screen was precisely the right size after ordering the screen size not following the instructions. Secondly, it comes with additional spacers if the height is higher than Lippert's Screen Defender, which was the case with mine. Using the large spacer, I separated the rings. There is no problem fitting and inserting, but, unlike the Screen Defender, which has little prongs on each corner to snap into the inside channel of the screen door, the spacers don't have anything on the end to help secure them. Based on other comments, it appears that this is an issue shared by most. There is definitely something wrong with this The good news is that it can be easily fixed. Rather than use a tape, I chose to use a piece of clear two-sided "Alien Tape" at the bottom of the spacer. The bottom of the screen was held securely in place by the adhesive. It does this by sliding the Screen Defender into its top channel. The pins it has go into the channels along the sides of the device. You're all set! This is a very secure site. In my opinion, having a pet even if you don't have any animals would be a good idea.
