It does, in fact, necessitate the use of 16 screws.
That's correct. I had to double-check the product because I had previously ordered a single exterior frame that didn't match my interior frame, which was a mistake. I ordered a roll of seal tape but never used it because the frame came with a light gel coat for a seal. Excellent product that fits perfectly.

In my RV's history, I've replaced the door plastic several times. The extra screws are a plus for me. Trim with sealer. There's one less thing for you to worry about. The one I just replaced had no leaks and had turned yellow after 11 years. 3M no-residue duct tape is a trick I learned that comes in handy. My wife is reassured by four small strips that the glass will not break.
It's a better quality frame than the one I had before. This frame has tabs for centering the frame in relation to the hole in the door, as well as locating and holding the glass in place. Has a sufficient amount of sticky caulk/putty applied beforehand. There are no instructions, but the situation is fairly self-explanatory. Because the number of screws in my original frame were the same, I simply reused them. When it comes to UV resistance, only time will tell.
There were a few more screw holes than on the original, but that was minor. It was spray painted to match the trim on the camper. I'm very pleased with the final product.
I only got the backside of the frame, which was missing the screws and sealant. The front frame and the Q are shown in this product image. Both frames are included, according to the letter A. Save yourself the time and hassle of a return by ordering the two parts separately for the same price or ordering a product with a better description, as I discovered the hard way and am now stuck going camping with an old broken frame because I took a chance on this poorly described product.

Replaced the exterior door window frame on my 1988 Bigfoot travel trailer and it worked perfectly. Because of its age, the original had cracked in several places. This one was a perfect match - I only wish they had included screws because I had to go to ACE Hardware to get more because the original window frame had two fewer screws. The window glass is not included; only the frame is.
Because my old frame had fewer screws, I had to go out and find more, which took some time. Only drywall screws appeared to have the right head shape, which I had to paint white to match.
My Jayco camper's frame was damaged, so I had to replace it. Everything was in place, it was simple to put together, and the fit was perfect. Thank you.
