My husband and I searched for a replacement door cover for our camper's screen door. All three pieces of this set, door stop and cover fit perfectly.
As we own a Starcraft, we had a broken stopper, so we bought this kit to replace it. Having to create new holes for this one was not a big deal, but it did take some time to install. Our bugs will be kept at bay this way!.
The installation was simple and the fit was good. The product does not need any trimming or filing. There was enough flexibility in the door to allow it to bend into the glides on the door where the broken slide once resided. My RV's comes with one that is much better made than the one I have now.
It's almost there. It had to be replaced since our original one was damaged. The pieces snap into place with ease. It's only downside is that it doesn't come with the slide stop that it should have. As a result, we had to leave the original slide stopper in place (it leaves a 1-inch gap after installation).
I installed it on my 1995 Fleetwood Mallard. It's a bit tight and doesn't slide right like the original one, but I suspect that will be corrected with time. In one case, I had to drill a hole as the new hole did not line up exactly with the old one. Alternatively, if it were easier to insert the slide, I would have removed it and filed the edge just a bit so it would roll more easily.
Although the installation process was not difficult, installing the stop took a bit of time and patience.
Once it was cut to the right size, it worked as expected. Had to slightly modify with a box cutter since it was a bit tight. The old one can be used as a template. As long as the UV rays keep it clean, it should last for years.
A few small modifications were necessary There was a total of about one hour to install it, which is why I gave it 3 stars, but in reality you can't expect it to fit thousands of different RV doors so carefully. Moreover, the "handle" you use on the inside is difficult to grip, but except that you are a mansion on wheels then that is what you are going to get.
