Is there a way to connect it, such as a ball that fits into a 10mm socket?

My set only came with a socket on each end for attaching to the 10mm ball. You must purchase brackets with the 10mm ball that your application requires. There are 900 different brackets that they produce. Choose the type that is best for you.

I honestly don't remember checking because I ordered it for a friend.

The 20 pound force is adequate, but the length is slightly excessive

My RV door is perfectly serviceable with a spring lift. When compared to my old/original spring lift, this new one is a fraction of an inch longer, making installation a little more difficult. Is there a chance of a product variation? Aside from that, everything about this spring lift is fine.

On a standard RV door, this item fits perfectly. When there's a moderate breeze, it keeps the door open. Allows the door to close with the proper amount of resistance.
