In fact, yes. It does not affect the closing of the door. The screen door's interior is covered by this product
It would be best to steer clear of A screen door would not fit because it is too short. As long as the grommet is in place, the knob will stay depressed so that the door doesn't Despite sending a critique to camco, I have not heard back. On the other hand, the handle bracket that goes across the screen door on the inside is worth it.
Sliders are not clear to me.
According to my opinion, I am confident it will survive the challenge posed by the grandson. The door of ours is opened and closed no less than 100 times in a 24 hour period, and it is even sometimes opened by our dog (a lab) who has discovered how it works, but hasn't fully mastered the skill (which we are happy about).

The problem you have with an RV or trailer is clear to everyone who owns one. It is a simple fix that solves the issue at a low cost. By replacing that cheap insect guard panel with this, you will save time and avoid the grumpiness of wrangling with it. Installation was a breeze, other than the grommet being hard to push through the hole. In the case of a curve on the top of your screen door handle, there is one thing I would do differently the next time. I believe this was not in the directions, but you can slightly ease the bug panel open by pushing down on the outside edge. The panel should stay closed if you push down on the side of the curve closest to the door jamb. A sweet spot should be past the middle of the curve so you are still able to leverage the system.
Thought I would share some tips with you. As a pro It's a sweet idea and a marvelous solution to a problem you don't realize you'll encounter until you have been in and out of your RV screen door a 1000 ***Con *** Can you please tell me what 9/16" drill bit is? What on earth would a person who has one of those around have? If they made it 5/8" (or 3/4"), would it have been a problem? In order to fit that grommet into that 9/16" hole, I needed a 1/2" drill bit and a round grinding bit, so it might be just me, but that grommet was hard to get There are instructions which tell you to center your hole between the top edge of your screen door handle and the hole in your screen. It would have been so much easier if the hole had been made lower after I had done this. Because of the steep upward angle the lever is at, it must travel almost to the end of its reach in order to barely touch the handle on the screen door and open it. As well as As long as both doors are open, this is not sufficient travel to allow it to separate the screen door from the regular door. the problem by wrapping electrical tape around the lever end several dozen times to soften it.
'I have an Itasca Navion and the rubber grommet is not large enough to fit the sliding panel. A small amount of thinning was required for the grommet to fit the panel. With the Dremel router base, I used the Dremel, a face cutting bit, and the Dremel. I am happy with the result. The 9/16" hole in the board was also made easy with a step drill.
Our screen door on our Newmar RV was the perfect addition. Rather than having to open the screen door from the inside and invite insects inside, users can use this device. Grandkids to grandparents will love this item because it is sturdy, well-made, and easy to use. Installing it is relatively simple. We used a 1/2" drill bit and jiggled it just a little because we did not have the 9/16" bit required for the rubber grommet hole. For a snug fit, remove excess plastic shavings around the hole before inserting the grommet. Observe the instructions regarding drilling the hole at the top edge level of the door handle and be sure to position the grommet so that the lever hole is angled as directed. These should be installed on every RV screen door. I highly recommend this product.
It was great that we didn't have to slide the cover over to open the door, but the problem is. After we introduced our German Shepherd to the ease of opening and going out the door, she quickly figured out that she could do the same whenever Sadly, that's not the case. It had to be removed for us to be able to slide the cover back on.
It's awesome to have a lever like this one. The screen door on our RV is now easier to open since we no longer have to slide the door panel over. I did not have any problems installing it. Only thing I object to is that the hole must be drilled 9/16" deep. Up to 1/2" is the maximum size of most drill bit sets. The 1/2" bit oversized the hole I needed and I used it with the drill running.
I'm very satisfied with this product. I like how simple it is and how well It calls for a 9/16 inch drill bit to install it, and it really does need such a large If you don't already have one, then you should buy a cheap step drill bit to create the 9/16 inch hole. You need to drill the hole at the exact location that is stated. Make sure you read the instructions before proceeding!.
If you have the kind of RV door that requires you to slide the small door open in order to reach the outside handle in order to open your door, then this is the perfect product. Despite the fact that I am not sure why RV doors were made this way, the product is ideal. You do need to drill a hole in the small sliding door, so follow the instructions and do not drill it too large. Except for that, installing it is simple.
