Transmission fluid was no longer leaking thanks to this replacement part. A particular site did not have clear instructions, but I found some other reviews on this site and on YouTube that provided additional guidance. I first removed the radiator fluid from the radiator (storing it for reuse). One of the tools included with the part (not a Product of Dorman) did not work for me to remove the transmission line from the radiator it was a scissors After several attempts, I finally managed to detach it from the radiator with 2 flat blade screwdrivers (not the most efficient method, but it was the most expedient at the time) There were a lot of obstacles to overcome After several minutes of working with it, I gave up. Finally (after a long time! after detaching the transmission fluid lines from the radiator, I used black rubber plugs to help slow down the transmission fluid installed rubber corks to stop the lines from leaking, I unscrewed the old, worn out connector and "quickly" screwed in the new Dorman part (I did put sealant on the threads of the new In the meantime, I reattached the transmission line to the new Dorman connector "quickly," as the cooling fluid is once again dripping from the vehicle. Make sure you check out several review sites before you try this to see what kind of problems you might encounter. The PS is. The connectors on a Ford radiator must be replaced if both need to be replaced Make sure that you get a new cooler line each time. The radiator is not connected to the cooler line. If there is a more convenient way to accomplish this, please let me know. Be sure to check out other reviews as well as their recommendations.
Radiators fitted with these parts should be interchangeable with Ford/Mercury factory radiators, and better replacement radiators modeled after the originals. My son's 2006 Mercury radiator had been replaced, and the drivers side line constantly dripped. I installed this on the radiator, and now the leak has disappeared. No dip stick means there is no way to know if the transmission fluid is low or if you need to add fluid, unless you want to replace an entirely burned up transmission. This means it is very important there are no leaks in the transmission. I installed it and it has stopped dripping! If you already know yours drips from one of these fittings, it might be worth your time and money to see if it will fit! As a result of longer lines and vibration, it looks to be the drivers' side that leaks most often!.
I usually stay away from parts with the Dorman brand, but this part is very good. To install on a new radiator for a 2007 Explorer, I purchased two of these fittings. In order to install them, you will need a 1 1/16" wrench. It might cost you more to buy a new radiator if you overtighten the clamps. The fittings are equipped with a double hose barb Keeping transmission fluid from leaking is one of the transmission ring's main functions. You will need to purchase a tube of Permatex 59214 (also available on Amazon) to use on the threads of.
Having ordered two, I should have ordered three! It's a good idea to replace both if you replace one. This is very easy to change, and none of the trans fluid is lost while doing so. It uses a dual-O- A much better ring than the standard one manufactured by the manufacturer There is a ring unit in the ring.
Spectra CU2816's double oring design made it easy to install the Explorer Sport Trac V8 (early build) into CU2816 without issues
Fittings were highly recommended by most people due to their reliability. The car has been driven 500 or so miles with no.
The new cooler lines will eliminate the leak at the radiator caused by transmission fluid leaking from the cooler lines. The part fits perfectly on a 2007 Ford Sport Trac, built in.
The adapter is exactly what I needed. An o-shaped hole is on it It has rings in it, so the transmission line fits tighter with it. The best part is that it's free of maintenance! You no longer have to worry about.
My aftermarket radiator fits perfectly on these. It's nice to see you again - Unlike the ones I replaced, this one has a ring joint in place of a single one.
