This is much better than the screw on adapter 397. Installing it has never been easier. To remove the retaining clip, 1) pull out the barb on the original line, 2) remove the barbed end from the radiator, 3) insert this adaptor, Reinsert the There are now only two barbed connectors, so nothing has to be unscrewed or any Tranny fluid lost.
To drain the engine, connect the oil/rubber hose to a short 3/8" plastic tube, then the clear plastic hose. With the reduced line, the oil drain from the 4L80E transmission pump will be slowed down enough to allow you to add oil as old oil is pumped into the drain bucket while the new oil is being added. While watching the old oil transition into the new, clean red fluid, this minimizes waste. My idea is just that.
Using a fitting, I connected it to the connector where transmission fluid is pumped An additional 10ft length of vinyl tube with an inside diameter of 3/8" was attached to the fitting. The tube was then run into a large drainage By pumping out the transmission fluid in batches and regularly refilling the pan with new automatic transmission fluid, I was able to drain the old fluid properly. I found the fittings and tubing to be extremely useful when changing the transmission fluid. In the past, I had dropped the pan and changed the transmission filter about 10K miles ago, so this time I left it alone.
Having this made hooking up a vinyl tube for running a transmission flush on my '18 Silverado very easy. As you can see in the photo, it's made from brass or bronze.
We have not found any The program did exactly what was expected of it. I had no problems with this radiator mounting on my 2017 GMC Terrain. Despite the difficulty in installing aftermarket transmission coolers, it turned out to be easy.
I'm impressed how well it works.
The auxiliary trans cooler is ideal for adding to the vehicle. The installation was carried out on a 2006 Chevy Colorado.
Makes a trans flush easy. Works as described.
