As a replacement, I used this cylinder because I attempted to remove an old cylinder improperly, resulting in damage to it. If you plan on taking your tilt column apart to tighten up the tilt slop, then be kind to yourself and buy a new ignition cam gear and rack kit at the same time.
Perfect fit onto my 1972 Chevy chevelle, works great in my ignition.
To replace the key cylinder on a 1970 floor shift chevelle steering column, I bought this. I could not be happier with the fit and function.
No problems with the part. It also fit an International Scout II without tilt 1975.
Fits like a glove.
I would purchase it I think it will be fine, but only time will tell how long it will last The ability to manage for the long term.
