Questions & Answers

Is this a suitable replacement for the kohler 7000 series kt715-? 32 098 08 kt745 part? (Note that there is no "S" at the end of my part.) ?

Yes, this is the right starter for the job. It's a nine-tooth gear rather than a ten-tooth gear. It is perfectly aligned with the flywheel. I've replaced 2 on two different mowers with the 'S' version, which is the most recent upgrade, because the 9 tooth gear and thicker shaft allow for more torque and a faster start. This is an original Kohler component.

Is this compatible with a Toro timecutter? kohler - Model KT725 3031 (725cc) with serial number 4433809803. ?

Yes, this is the correct model for you.

The motor is stronger and turns faster than the original
5/5

This motor has me completely blown away! I was reading reviews when I came across one that recommended spending the extra money for the high-quality Kohler motor that had been updated and was supposed to turn your engine over faster. Rather than settling for a knockoff of a Chinese brand.
I found that to be 100% true after installing this motor I found that to be 100% true after installing this motor I found that to be 100% This motor certainly speeds up the rotation of the motor! br>As a result, the motor begins to run much faster. If that gives you any idea of how quickly this thing makes your engine start, it used to take a solid 4 seconds to start, but now it starts within the first full second, if that gives you any idea of how quickly this thing makes your engine start; now I don't have to wear out my battery cranking it as long as I used to. br>The only thing I'd point out is that the base of the motor, where the bolts will pass through, is slightly thicker than the rest of the motor, so you'll probably need slightly longer bolts to secure it. This was a simple fix for me because I have a hard wear right down the street, and they were very accommodating in finding me two bolts that matched my original bolts. I was In- In five minutes, you'll be out! br>I agree wholeheartedly! Say goodbye to the upgraded motor, save your battery, and be satisfied with your purchase. At $103, I still believe it was worth every penny to get the amount of power and quality I got out of this motor to turn over my engine, and I am a penny pinching, frugal man. br>Wow, it got going so quickly!br>I've attached photos of my machine, which has a 22 horsepower Kohler engine and is a Craftsman.

WoW! What A Difference It Makes! This is a significant improvement
5/5

My Gravely ZTR's previous owner had apparently installed a cheap Chinese starter on its 25 horsepower Kohler Courage engine, as the mower barely cranked when I got it, and then went downhill from there until it couldn't crank at all. After going over all of the usual suspects (battery test and charge; all connections should be cleaned and tightened; solenoid should be checked clean the gunk out of the space between the old starter and the engine block Grounds should be cleaned and tightened. Valve clearance should be adjusted. ) I noticed that Kohler had updated their starters, so I went ahead and ordered one. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, who I put it on my lawnmower, and now what? Just a fraction of a turn of the key and the mower is turned off! Spend the extra cash on this! br>br> Don't waste your time with a knock-off from China. off, a different aftermarket starter, or even an older Kohler starter The difference between these new upgraded starters and the old ones is night and day. especially on older machines where the compression release might be broken 100% (or not working at all)- as well as on a V-shaped table If your compression release is worn out, Twin Courage, you'll need to replace your cam shaft and possibly re-calibrate it. To get that function back, you'll need to work on your valvetrain. So spending a few extra dollars on this starter is well worth it because it saves you time and effort! br>br>Kohler deserves credit for upgrading these machines and making them compatible with older machines. Unlike many businesses today, which would rather forget about previous customers and push you to purchase new equipment. Kohler's already stellar reputation has just risen even higher in my estimation!.

It works
4/5

My SV710's starter would sometimes spin but not engage with the motor. It became more frequent over time, to the point where one day I couldn't start the mower. I removed the cover one day to discover that the gear was not popping up, preventing the engine from turning over; after a few attempts at pulling the gear up, I was able to start the mower, but I immediately went online to order a replacement starter. If you're looking for a replacement, you've probably come across the $40-$50 Chinese knockoffs. They're $50, so you might think they're a good deal, but read some reviews and you'll see that they have a high failure rate. Although this starter is twice as expensive as the previous one, it has a larger shaft, more torque, and is OEM. That is, perhaps. br>br>As others have pointed out, there are no official Kohler markings on the item. It could be OEM equipment from one of Kohler's suppliers, but it's not Kohler. br>br>To cut a long story short, it's a simple swap that works. After removing the cover, there are two bolts that secure the motor to the chassis and one bolt that secures the power supply. This model is shorter than the one that was removed, but it makes no difference because the space between the gear and the mounting bolts is the same; it's just the physical motor that is smaller. Others claim that this model spins faster and starts the mower more quickly. I'm not sure I notice much of a difference. Others most likely had a bad starter that was slowing them down over time, so the new one appears to be faster. My old starter was spinning fine, but it was not engaging. I used it to start the mower twice after installation, and it worked both times, so I'm satisfied so far. br>br>A few low-star reviews claim it has a short lifespan, and I'm hoping I'm not one of them. If it fails, I'll update this review and advise you to buy the cheap Chinese knockoff, which also fails but costs half as much.

I was able to resolve my issue with difficult cranking
5/5

Original equipment manufacturer part! I wanted to write this review so that others could benefit from it. My mower was cranking very hard, and I had to turn the key for a long time to get it to start; someone suggested the compression release was bad. The starter, on the other hand, had completely failed and was unable to turn the engine over. It was also extremely hot. I bought this starter, installed it, and it starts right up every time. For the entire time I've owned the mower, I've had a difficult time starting it. It also spins up a lot quicker now. Furthermore, it is a genuine Kohler part, not a knock-off. I wish I had purchased it earlier.

The Kohler starter is an upgraded OEM product that functions properly
5/5

The Kohler 3209808S is an upgraded version of the 32098015, which is sold by DB Electric under the code SAB0157. The Kohler is more expensive, but it gets the job done, and this upgraded model has more torque - For a quick start, the engine is spun up quite a bit. History: My first DB Electric replacement lasted a few years, the second only a few weeks, and the third died right away. br>DB Electric is less expensive, but if you buy it for the sake of saving money, you'll end up buying it twice.
