Questions & Answers

I have a b&w goosneck hitch on my Chevy 2500. Does this work. Would you have been concerned if the hitch mounting points were in the same place as the air lift bracket?

As far as mounting is concerned, I don't foresee any issue. On my 06 Chevrolet 2500, I installed this system. Having a 5th wheel hitch in the bed of my truck has been no problem for me. Mounted to the rearend just under the frame rail, this system receives power from the rear wheel. Please make sure your gooseneck hitch brackets, etc., do not interfere with the operation of this attachment. Depending on how your truck is configured, you ought to be able to look over the back tires to confirm the hitch is installed correctly at the frame rail and rearend. Any place where you feel most comfortable can be used for running your air lines. The gas fill door is where I keep mine. You'll be lucky if you get as many compliments on yours as I did on mine.

Is this suitable for 4x4 vehicles?

It is true. My 2005 Chevy 2500hd 4x4 is now equipped with this product

What are the odds that these air helpers will work on a Chevy Silverado K10 with 4WD?

There are some for your truck that I believe are available. The part number applies to 1999 to 2007 Chevrolet models. It can be bolted on directly. In the event that air ride does not have the right wheels for your truck, It would be best for me to reach out to

Can I use this on my 2010 3500HD with a 6" lift kit or do I need an adapter since the truck is ?

To install an air bag spacer, you will have to determine the size based on the size of the rear block.

The product is good, and the review hopefully will be helpful
5/5

The 2009 GMC 2500HD was equipped with the system. I installed the full kit in addition to the compressor and gauges provided by AirLift. As of now, I have just installed this great product, and I am very pleased with what I see. I'm sorry this is such a long review, but hopefully the next person can benefit from it. It is not recommended that someone who is a beginner DIY mechanic install this. Though I have not been a professional snowplow installer, I have placed 100's of snowplows, spreaders, and - After market accessories are what I have a lot of experience with, so I have a lot of knowledge about them. It would be pointless to try this unless you're a competent mechanic, even if there was just the matter of On the whole, I probably spent about seven hours on the install (alone), but I think I spent one good hour on it. In the first five hours, I needed to figure out where to mount the compressor, gauges, and solenoids. A complete kit with a built-in compressor was done by me. In the kit, all components are arranged in their separate packaging and in the manufacturers box. All hoses, hardware, screws, etc. are provided in separate packages. It is highly recommended that you read over the instructions a few times before starting out. Despite the fact that they have important notes but aren't organized, they skip around a bit. Unless it's just this kit, you won't be able to torque the upper bolts as it says to, since they are rather difficult to reach. The instructions say to use a torque wrench which first of all most DIYers don't even have. It's important to plan your install and take your time. A good jack and jack stands will be required. According to the instructions, the axel will be supported with jack stands, but it's actually the frame that needs to be supported so you can use it to lift and lower the rear end When using airlines, don't forget to cut them very cleanly. Be sure they don't have beveled edges. By the way, after installing them there was not 1 leak. It was important that my cuts were perfect and that I left plenty of slack, not just in case I had to re-cut, but also in case I needed to move I am cutting. Using a sharp razor, I shaved my face. As you push them into the fitting, you may feel them pop. You have to push them in further to seat the airline. This is probably where most people experience air issues. You can feel them pop, then slide them an additional 1/8 to 1/4 inch into the fitting. You can easily remove the pressure fitting by pushing it into the hose and pulling it out after the fitting has been inserted. Practice this before you try beneath the truck. I think the compressor works well up to a weight of 50 lbs, then it slows down a bit as is expected of Within about 3 or 4 minutes, I was able to pump up to 90 pounds. Installing the wiring will require a couple "add a fuse" kits to make sure the wiring is tied into the fuse panel. The prices range from about $7 to $9 depending on the store. In the kit, they are not included. In the end I used the spare onions and 1 I purchased to set up a single manual line to the rear number just in case the compressor should go out whilst towing or to simply keep a safe level of pressure in the lines. Thanks for your time. I hope this helps.

I think this is a wonderful Has a 2007 4WD K3500 that is used to haul shipping containers, which is a considerable load, it goes without saying
5/5

As a result of the weight of the containers and the trailer, I discovered the helper springs on the truck to be maxed out, as evidenced by a shiny spot. After the air bags were installed, a noticeable difference in the suspension was noted for both handling and ride.
The AIR LIFT 72000 Wireless Air Leveling Compressor - allows the driver to level or level the car with ease from any position. installed], I can stand back from the truck and trailer and get the load perfectly leveled. When under load, there will be no more uneven squatting to the rear of the truck. Aside from the fact that the truck was on a lift during the installation, the installation only took about five hours. The instructions provided were very good, but you will need to spend a little additional time finding just the right spot for the compressor and valve assembly. Make sure to protect the air lines as much as you can. When I run, I usually start at about 530 or 6 a. m. The truck and trailer were only able to sit level at 10 psi when empty because the ride is pretty stiff already, but as soon as the containers were loaded, the truck and trailer hit Another benefit is the ability to load and unload the trailer - this is convenient for the client. You can use the trailer with or without the containers. I simply inflate the bags until they are 100 psi, and then crank the landing gear of the trailer until they are out of the way. I have made just a few turns, and I have put weight on the ball, I deflate the bags again, which allows the truck to lower itself from This is a time saver and decreases wear and tear on the landing gear of the trailer Also, I'm a little weak in the arms. It is estimated that the gooseneck ball has a tongue weight of about It really does work like a charm and supports more than 4000 pounds. When loading, reversing the process is required You should center the gooseneck over the ball and inflate it. Heavy loads can be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing This is a great addition to your truck, even if you only use it part time.
The net result of this story is For safety, stability and comfort, this system [the AirBags and the wireless compressor system] is fantastic. Thank you again It is a high quality product at a fair price with great value.
