This set of airbags is awesome! As a first comment, I’d like to say the shipping was way faster than I anticipated

They were delivered to me on Monday after I ordered them on Saturday afternoon. This was installed on the 2014 fiscal year This short bed is 250 inches long. It seems some people made a big deal about how difficult it was to install these. There was no problem at all for me. I was rather happy with how it went and it only took about two hours. I didn't use a power tool other than my drill to install a shader valve in the top license plate hole it took me 5 hours. In truth, I did not need to refer to the directions very much, since the installation is quite simple. This diagram showed you where parts go with what hardware and was of the most help to me. The spare tire was removed before I backed up on blocks and the jacks so that I would not have to deal with them under the truck. lift the bench to gain clearance for the frame, I assemble it as you would on the bench and attached a couple zip ties in the middle to keep it in place while I put It was that easy. Once the tie was upright and lined up, the bolts were placed in the appropriate holes and everything was done. As part of the installation, it took longer to tighten all the bolts compared to tightening them Several comparisons were made between the Air Lift and Firestone sets before I made my decision. In my opinion, both would work just fine, but I appreciate how this one sits on the striker plate rather than a bulky 2 piece design you have to bolt down to The one you see here looks cleaner and more like an option that comes with the device. In addition to a level ride when towing, these provide a better ride for anyone who has an issue with the front end being too high. I used 35" tires with a leveling kit on the front of the truck The amount I put was about 10 drachmas We put 12 pounds in when empty and it sits well. We tried driving it empty as well, and it felt good. It's been a while since my last ride, so I guess I can play with the psi a little bit. I am very happy with how things are going so far.

There is no easy way to install it

As a first step, I would like to let you know how responsive the Air Lift team was when I had an issue with a connection in one of the bags. This earns them a five-star rating in my book. The installation time given by some reviewers is quite inflated. A few parts (screws and washers) are missing, but I have a full assortment on hand. The installation will take an entire day depending on whether you have an extended lift to reach some of the harder-to-reach screws and bolts underneath the truck. If you don't, you'll have to stand under the truck and reach some of the difficult screws and bolts by hand. Going back and forth by crawler underneath the truck to retrieve parts and tools, and returning to your position once the parts and tools have been recovered It took several hours of reading instructions and trying to determine which "M" bolt to use to complete this installation. I know I'm mechanically proficient and have been turning wrenches for 60 years, yet this installation took the entire In case you don't like lying on your back and working in tight spaces, ask a local garage to do the installation for you. There is only one way to place the assembled air bag into the vehicle (even though it is not noted in the instruction / assembly sheet). This involves removing the driver's side rear shock. The next update should take place in two It is possible that one of the bags did not hold air pressure while it was I pumped five pounds of air per square inch No bubbles were detected at the connections as the fittings were checked for leaks again. The air bag was refilled to 7 psi and the air pressure was again zero within 2 hours. Several times, we have refilled the air bag to 30 psi and then checked the fit. I was not able to find any leaks at the air bag (hose) fitting, however I did find a bubble at the fitting into the top of the air bag despite being convinced it was in place. The air bag needs to be replaced (which would likely mean another lengthy procedure to remove and replace the air bag. We have made progress with the replacement. In the air bag that I removed from the bench and filled up to 20 psi, I filled it up with air. Bubble tests have also been conducted. Initially, there were no leaks detected until I moved the swivel fitting going into the top of the bag as this is when air bubbles began to form above the 90 degree swivel fitting compression. In the end, it was the swivel fitting that was the problem.

My occupation is not that of The kit is installed on a 2011 Ford F-150 This 250 super duty is a good choice

They are just about done being installed. Despite the length of the installation, it was not an easy task. Obviously there is no fault with the product, but rather it is because I am a carpenter and not a mechanic. As a result of watching the videos and reading the instructions, I figured I would be able to do it on my own. Basically, you only need a floor jack and jack stands, which I did not have. I thought I could deal with it by using a bottle jack instead of the floor jack, but I had to work long and hard. I'd like to point out that you ought to get your spare tire off the ground and move on to the next point. When it came to the jounces, I discovered that I had difficulty with the bolts and that I just had to cut them off with the sawzall. I followed the instructions word for word. Once I had installed the top brakets and was ready to install the bellows, I encountered difficulty getting the bellows in place, for which the only explanation is that I didn't have a floor jack available. To accomplish this, I used a bottle jack to lift the frame about 4 inches, removed the top axles, reinstalled the bellows, and removed the top axles again. It was smooth sailing from then on. It is very important for you to read and follow the instructions before beginning. As well as the videos, I found them helpful. In the photos, everything appears exactly as it does in real life. As you can see, I had to use a bottle jack and make multiple trips from in and out from under the truck. The whole project took me around seven hours, once again I apologize for my lack of mechanical abilities. In my opinion, I believe this would be done in three hours if someone had a lift. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that I have not yet pulled a trailer. When I try them out with a load at the end of this month, I will add something to this review. Again, I would like to point out that my problems with the installation did not stem from the air lift product. Wishing you good luck and hoping these pointers are helpful. Here I am again. Please take a few moments to check Since I installed these a few weeks ago, I have made a few trips with them and have seen why they are so great! It is not wise to go without these if you haul or pull. Right away, I was able to level the truck. Almost none of the sway I used to get with my 36' trailer is present now. This product gets the thumbs up!.
