A ANGLED STYLE - Allows the curved bottom of the angled style bungs to rest against the rounded surface of the exhaust or downpipe at the angle that is suitable for your application, greatly simplifying the welding process. This is a standard size fitting and has a simple M18 x 1 installation. There are five millimeters of thread. The O2 sensors in this kit enable you to add sensors to exhaust systems that you have made or existing ones.

Included are 2 angled style bungs as part of this package deal.

How big is the diameter of the tube this notches?

While I used it for 3", it could also be positioned accordingly for multiple diameters by welding the gap between the plate and the plate. There is even the option of cutting the tube large enough that the bung goes straight through, then the curve on the bung doesn't matter.

If they are angled toward or against the direction of exhaust flow, does this matter?

Typically, these sensors are placed parallel to the exhaust flow, and that is how you get the best reading.

For more than 35 years, I have been building custom TIG welded stainless exhaust systems. This is a very well machined pair of parts from a very accurate part manufacturer that fits the primary of a 2" very well. Clean welds are a sign of good materials. The price is too good to be true. Buying them is all you need to do.
