It may work if the Harley has an 18mm thread size since this particular tool operates on that size. What about newer Harleys that use a smaller 12mm size?
Thanks to this tool, I was able to save my life. In my case it works on 8' on Yukon and 22mm on BMW if it is measured in
In case your O2 sensor is 22 mm wide and has clearance for you to get it and you happen to have a breaker bar around that area, If I were you, I'd soak the threads in something like WD-40 If you wish to soften up the rust on the threads, spray it with WD-40 or Pb blaster, and don't drive your vehicle for at least a day.

The oxygen sensor was removed from one of the two. It was effortless with the first one, but not with the second, which As the split tool spread and slipped over the sensor it took about 4 hours of careful persuasion to remove it with out damaging the The tool used was not powerful enough to do the Rather than have tool break over sensor between flats, it would have been better if tool had broken cleanly.
The sidewall of these sockets does not flex under pressure thus preventing the sensor from holding firm rather than slipping, which is a common occurrence in the long wall cutaway sockets of this type. The sensor needs to be broken My review request was replied to by an email from the seller. In contrast to some of the reviews here, I did not receive this item for free for the purposes of reviewing it here. Nevertheless, I have been in the automotive business for over 40 years and I am ASE certified You can usually tell when I'm looking at a decent tool This is what you need to do. I think you'll enjoy this one.
It did nothing more than flex my 02 sensor open and round it off! The screws would not stay in place well enough to break them off. There is no room to grab anything in the flats! You'll be wasting your money if you buy this!.
I had to remove the socket for about two hours. There were numerous descriptions of this happening on other brands, so I chose this one even though I probably ought to have known better than to buy this, but I read only two reviews where it "split. ". My plan is to contact the seller on Monday and ask that it be replaced.
My 09 Civic's standard 22mm sensor socket simply did not fit over the upstream sensor hex fitting, even though it was supposed to be the standard 22mm sensor socket. only have been one or two thousandths of an inch off, but no compromise is acceptable in this kind of situation. It turned out to be an inconvenient and a waste of time. The job was completed exactly as I had hoped. I rented an 02 socket at AutoZone and installed it without a hitch. Having a plan of action from the very beginning would have been ideal-.
We were unable to access it Space is not enough. Next, I tried using a vacuum cleaner. The leverage is not enough. using both PB Blaster and my breaker bar and sledgehammer I was able to break it loose by soaking it in the product and running my engine for 20 minutes. You can only take the sensor out this way if you are using one of those tight spots. After the sensor is broken loose, the O2 wrench or a regular 22 mm wrench will be needed to remove it.
It's all ok. The tool made my life much easier, although I could have done the work without it. Those days are gone when putting something together was as simple as taking an old tool up and using what I had on hand. Those things don't interest me anymore since I'm too old. This is one of those tools that you may not need as a backyard mechanic, but when you do you'll be glad you had it. The right tool for the job (along with a flexible ratchet that I also purchased) and the price was worth every penny. I saved a great deal of time and frustration by using this method.
My 2003 Honda Accord V6 requires a 22mm (7/8") socket to remove the downstream oxygen/AFR sensors. I purchased this socket to remove the sensors. Even though I had to spend 8 dollars on this socket, it was well worth it just to save both time and frustration compared with trying to loosen the sensors with conventional tools. The two sensors were so easy to replace with this socket that it literally took me less than 15 minutes. My experience has been that the socket I received is of very high quality and does not flex or slip as some other reviewers claim. This tool is a good tool to keep in your toolbox given that oxygen sensors are common. It is also very affordable and convenient to have. Using it saves a lot of time and frustration. It is a product I would recommend to anyone who requires an oxygen sensor socket with a 22mm or 7/8" diameter.
