That should be the case. The Ram had a 5.0L V8 so I used it there. A match was found between 7l and 7l. On both engines, it seems, Dodge used the same sensor during that time. Here is a link to a mopar website where I found the part number.
In this case, I purchased the size
Input sensor for the crankshaft
There doesn't seem to be a high probability of it being the camshaft sensor, but if that's the same number as the one I bought, I'm guessing it's that. For my 2003 Durango, I bought one and it worked very well. There was no way for me to check the part number of the one I bought, but I did search the part number and I found a sensor, so I hope this is helpful.

The following 7 engines are in the aircraft Having to learn the hard way is a painful experience. We learned the hard way not to use OEM parts for Jeep / Chrysler vehicles. Two aftermarket sensor parts were ordered for my 2007 Jeep Commander that runs rough. (1 crankshaft, 1 camshaft) Made sure the Jeep ran correctly. I did not experience any improvement in the rough idle or miss after installing them. A variety of repairs were done (probably more than the Jeep was worth) due to the stupid high mileage, including the installation of several coils, spark plugs, a new PCM computer, and every other sensor known to man. I had to return the belt with an apology when that didn't work and assumed it was something inside the engine that wasn't throwing the error code. My mechanic, who is the best, gave it back with an apology that he wouldn't be able to fix it. As soon as I researched that the Jeep 4 came with two OEM Mopar sensors, I decided I could grab them for a very small amount of money. Having sensor problems is one of the most frustrating aspects of the game's engine. I have had my Jeep for 2 months and it is running perfectly. Thanks to It was a hard lesson to learn.
There is no better choice than a Mopar! Almost a year in the past, my 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee would not start again after it had been running and stopped for a few minutes (needed to sit for 20 minutes, tried a cheap cam sensor but it did not work). The replacement of the cam sensor fixed the problems I had with my head gaskets and timing system (and limp mode). I tried something else but it didn't eliminate the problems. Once I installed this cam sensor, all my problems were solved.
I got this part from my Dodge Ram 1500, and it is not the same. There was about an inch of extra length on the part of the sensor that goes into the motor. It's possible that this is a brand new design, but I wasn't able to find that anywhere online so did not download. Fortunately, I went to the local auto parts store and purchased a sensor that is identical to the one that came out and it works properly. This is either the wrong part for a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with the four-cylinder engine. A 7 or a -1 Several changes have been made to the website.
Aftermarket parts, however, usually fail on the Hemi. In the past, I had a cam sensor I bought aftermarket that lasted less than Don't be afraid to pay a little more and get an OEM like this.
A factory defect was not the reason for the malfunction To prevent the possibility of failure, I placed a 155,000-megabyte hard drive into a separate enclosure In my mechanic's opinion, it was a simple process to install on a car with a lot of miles. In its intended purpose, it has performed perfectly. It is highly recommended that you buy from this seller.
I keep one of these on hand and I used it recently so I ordered this one to replace it. There's no substitute for original Mopar parts, and this one.
It fits perfectly. Presented in a plastic bag branded with the Mopar logo. I found the installation of the 2002 liberty very easy. No bolts are needed to remove the air filter box and you'll find the CPS under the valve cover in front of it. The old one can be removed with a 10mm socket while still connected to the wires and removed from the clip. The reverse process should be used.
The new cam sensor is a great replacement. The check engine light will not come on anymore. Hopefully it will last as long as the original one did.
