I had the same issue with a 2007 RX350 with Navigation (not a Mark Levinson) and was able to figure out how to fix it. Contrary to Metra's instructions, the resistor should be placed between pins 9 and 10 on the 12 pin connector, not the 20 pin connector, on these models. There will be a black wire and a white wire on the 12 pin connector (older models will have a brown wire and a yellow wire). Remove the insulation from these wires and join them together with the resistor. Climate control, air conditioning, and other amenities will be reinstated.
It works perfectly in my 2006 RX330, but I don't think it will work with a navigation system.

The spring metal/plastic pieces that should be on the lower ears are missing (so the lower grip isn't as tight as OEM). Also, they could have molded thin cut lines in the surround so that people like me wouldn't have needed to use a dremel cutoff wheel and could have gotten away with a knife, but I'm happy with the end result. br>Updates: * Thanks for the comment; I had forgotten that OEM spring metal clips should be used on the lower ears. br>* For more information, see clublexus' "Beatsonic harness vs. Are there any other options? " thread for a wealth of information on how to install.
On my 2008 Lexus RX 350, I installed this dash kit. It fit the mounts fine, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind that aren't mentioned in the installation guide: 1 make sure you transfer the yellow plastic spring stops from the factory radio to the install kit; this will prevent a minor rattle while driving. 2 Most android head units are about 1 to 2 mm wider and higher than the opening in the kit. (Dremmels are a good friend of yours. ) 3 The center section below the heater controls now extends like a shelf, whereas before it was flat against the face; this is a minor detail that I believe merits a fifth star. Although the Android head units are not true double dins, and the unit claims to fit most double dins, you'd think Metra would have allowed for this in the trim kit, given the large number of Android units on the market, many of which are far less expensive than the big four. Apart from that, Metra products work well; the finish is always accurate to the car's original colors, with only a few minor tweaks for the final star. I've been installing car audio for over 30 years, and I almost exclusively use Metra and Axxcess products because they are the best in the industry, especially in terms of cost (just look at the Crutchfield install kit; can you say sticker shock?).
The fit is excellent. The color isn't exactly the same, but it's close enough for a 15-year-old car. This was discovered in a 2005 RX330. If you're going to do the stereo swap, you'll need to get the stereo wiring harness, the steering wheel controls wiring harness, and the park brake bypass harness. You won't be able to get it to work properly unless you have all three of those items. br>br>PS: When you open the package, don't forget to keep the 68 ohm resistor. I had to go to Radio Shack (yes, they still exist) to get a replacement for the one I had apparently misplaced.
br>Perfect for my Lexus Rxbr> Lexus decided to control your air conditioning through the radio, in all of its wisdom. So that's why your air conditioner isn't working.
Without the Levinson sound package or factory navigation, the 2009 RX 350 is a perfect fit. To keep the factory JBL amplifier and wheel controls, I highly recommend getting wmetra accessories and Maestro's recommended kit. br>br>The sound quality is incredible when paired with a Pioneer AVH 2550NEX Apple Carplay. br>br>Spend the extra money on Metra and Meastro parts, and you'll save a lot of money on installation, aftermarket subwoofers and amplifiers, and a new receiver's amplifier.
I have a Lexus RX330 from 2004, which has the standard JBL stereo system, which fits perfectly around the Pioneer AVH-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX The X5600BHS is a 7-inch Double Din monitor. This frame will only enclose the screen portion of a double din, and nothing else (not even the tiny thin bezel behind the screen on my Pioneer). It provided just enough space for the screen to fully tilt down without colliding with the frame or stereo. br>br>One piece of advice is to make sure the double din is properly aligned with the mounting brackets so that the stereo sits at an upward angle once bolted down. It should also not protrude too far from the brackets, as this will prevent the frame from being pushed down and snapped into place. It may or may not be necessary to repeat the process. There are a few adjustments to be made, but it simply clips into place above the double din. br>br>It's also worth noting that the colored finish complements the silver interior perfectly. The only reason I can think it won't match is if your car's interior has aged and the color has changed. The only drawback is that the paint coat is very thin, so handle it with care. By brushing up against my shift knob, I scuffed it up.
It's the right size. It has the appearance of being standard. Our 2008 Lexus RX 350's dash was exactly the same color as the existing dash. It is simple to put together. There are no scratches or chips in the paint after months of use.
x5800h. It didn't appear to fit at first, but once the head unit was installed in the vehicle, the trim piece snapped into place perfectly. Prior to purchasing this, I purchased a beat sonic, but after learning more, I decided to purchase this metra kit and return the beat sonic to save about $200. I also purchased metra wiring harnesses for my vehicle, and everything, including the steering wheel controls, functions properly. I'm not sure what I would have gotten if I had stuck with beat sonic, but I'm happy with this purchase.
