I'm using it in conjunction with a Sony XAV-100. The AX5500, with a 6. 95-inch display
Without any modifications, I installed this straight into my 2004 TJ Wrangler X. I had to Dremel cut out some of the original inner radio mount in order to install a double din radio. The dash replacement, on the other hand, was a perfect match.
I put it in my 2005 Jeep Wrangler and I'm very pleased with it. The Chevy Aveo, on the other hand, I'm not so sure about.
For the 7, you'll have to change the opening.

This worked perfectly in my Jeep Unlimited Rubicon from 2005! It only required minor modifications to fit a double DIN radio. The majority of the posts and information I've found about installing a dash into a Jeep TJ require cutting the inside of the dash. With the particular design of head unit I chose, I discovered that cutting the side brackets instead worked perfectly. The fit is excellent, and the color blends in nicely with the rest of the room. For three reasons, I gave it four stars. A few small rubber pads are required on the back of the panel, but they easily fall off the new panel, so I had to super glue them in place. Second, the factory top tray has a grippy rubber coating, whereas this one is made of slippery plastic. Third, the hardware for holding the tray in place is missing, so I had to use my own screws. I used 6x 1/2" sheet metal screws, but they went in a little too far, causing bumps on the panel's top. It would be better if the screws were 6 x 3/8". While you're taking everything apart, I'd recommend putting some lube in the air vents. Beeswax, perhaps?.
There's a there's a there's a there's It had the desired effect. There is a gap between the bezel and the heater controls, which must be bridged in order for the system to function properly. The upper clips were rendered useless after the long prongs on the back were cut off. (I used it on a 2003 Jeep Wrangler and a 2002 Jeep Wrangler, both of which had the same problems) (the only difference was that the 97-2002 Jeep Wrangler had a different engine). 02 is that there is no ashtray, which leaves a gap. To make the controls flush with the bezel, I'll have to insert spacers.
Two screws were included in the package to secure the top tray to the main piece. I repurposed the factory unit's rubber tray liner and metal clips.
As previously stated in other reviews, you will need to make adjustments to the produce in order for it to match your radio. It's not going to fit right out of the box.
The top tray is included in this product. The installation is simple; you'll need to cut out a plastic shelf above your A/C and heater controls (which will remain hidden until the bezel is removed). To fit a double DIN head unit, the shelf must be removed; however, this has no effect on the rest of the system. The order arrived quickly, complete with all necessary installation parts. I don't have any complaints about the plastic's quality. I wish I could go back in time and do this. My Jeep's interior has been completely transformed.
Installation is a breeze! This is the ideal upgrade to bring your old trusty TJ up to date with modern technology! A Bulletpoint phone and GoPro holder can be bolted to it. It appears to be original equipment!.
On my 2004 Jeep Wrangler, it fits perfectly and looks fantastic.
It worked out perfectly for the stereo in the double den.
