Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with a 1994 Mazda Miata?

This kit isn't for the North American Miata, so it won't work. I recently bought one, and there are no tabs to secure the radio to the console frame.

Is it for a 2002 Mazda Protege?

Yes, it'll work. It was placed in a protege in the year 2002.

Could someone tell me the outside dimensions of the face on this install kit?

I just got a tape measure out of the cupboard. It appears that the number seven is correct. 3/8" wide x 4" long 5/8" tall These are measurements taken from the outside. I didn't measure depth because it was mounted in the car.

Is this compatible with the Pyle PLDNV695 6? 95- Double-sided inch In a Mazda 2001 tribute, is there a DIN touchscreen?

It should be compatible with the majority of double din radios.

There is a minor cosmetic flaw, but it is otherwise in good condition
4/5

Both the single and double DIN adapters are included in this kit. They lock in place for a very secure fit on my 2002 Miata - that they correctly warn may be impossible to remove without disassembly of the dash! So get it right the first time! The face plate on my Pioneer 2300NEX is extremely sturdy - Even the rear support screw, which Metra includes with the kit if your stereo has that option, is missing. br>br>My only gripe is that the double DIN unit has a plastic bar across the middle of the face that must be removed in order to use the full face touchpad. head units for televisions After removing the cross bar, there are some minor blemishes on each side of the bezel that have no obvious way to be removed. Is it true that there are no double DIN headphone jacks available? Are there any units on the market right now that require the cross bar?.

Mazda Miata from the year 2003 In the end, it worked out perfectly
4/5

It took a few tries and a little force to get the kit's top clip to "snap" into place because of the space/clearance depth. In between the radio's metal body and the kit plastic, I had to put a strip of black electrical tape on the single DIN head unit's top face edge to hide where the shiny metal frame of the head unit could just be seen. It isn't quite as good as some of the other Metra kits I've used in the past, but it served its purpose admirably. four stars once more.

It performs admirably and is relatively simple to operate
4/5

In my 2004 Mazda mx-, I recently upgraded the stereo head unit. 5 Miata. The new stereo comes with a 6-inch screen. Fits a double DIN opening and has a 2-inch touchscreen. The stereo came with mounting brackets and a rubber stopper for the back, but it was clear right away that it would not fit. By nearly an inch, it was too small for the dash opening. br>br>A quick search on the internet revealed that the replacement stereo required an installation kit. The Metra 99 is a train that runs between Chicago and New York City. 7505 appears to be a universal Mazda kit that fits a wide range of Mazda models from 1994 to 2006. I bought the kit on Amazon for less than half of what it was selling for elsewhere. br>br>The Kitbr>br>The kit came in a bag with a small folded instruction leaflet inside, which surprised me because it was actually two kits in one. A single DIN stereo kit with cubby hole that comes in one piece and can be flipped to place the cubby hole below or above the stereo. You also get the Double DIN kit, which is exactly what I was looking for. br>br>The Double Din Kit is made up of three pieces: the front bezel, as well as two side brackets Other than that, there isn't any additional hardware. You're expected to use the stereo that came with it. br>br>Installbr>br>The installation is fairly simple; however, the instructions hampered the process. There are diagrams, but they don't really show which way the bezel goes around, so it's possible the bezel is on the wrong side. The brackets have circles with embossed letters indicating which bracket is for the left (L) and right (R) sides. Finally, the easiest way to tell if the bezel is in the right place is to line up the screw holes. If the bezel is turned upside down, they will not line up. The bezel also has a horizontal support across the double opening. br>br>The only other feature is that it has a horizontal support across the double opening. This beam must be removed. To remove and finish the surface, I used side cutters and a modeler's small flat file. The moulding didn't try to make the job easier, and the beam is flush with the front bevel, so you'll have to be careful if you don't want any visible cut marks after you install the radio. If you have a few basic tools, it's not difficult. br>br>Fit and finishbr>br>Once the radio has been connected to the kit and the wire harness has been connected, you simply slide it into the opening. When the radio is fully inserted, the kit has four expanding latches that snap into place. It looks neat and tidy because it fits snugly and flush to the dash. The radio will fit snugly and not rattle if your stereo came with a rubber bump stop mount on the back. br>br>Conclusionbr>br>With a little common sense, the kit works well. The included instructions don't work as well as intuition. The next day, I had to take the stereo out again to troubleshoot a possible issue. If you don't have a Ford stereo, the kit suggests using a general-purpose Ford head removal kit, which is incorrect and a little silly. To remove the stereo, undo four screws and move the center console (this takes about four minutes), then undo two screws and unclip the dash panel (this takes about two minutes), and then push a large flat head screwdriver into the slots where the dash kit latches. The stereo will tip forward if the top two latches are unlatched, and you can simply raise it slightly while pulling it out. br>br>With the exception of a few ambiguous instructions and some basic crafting skills, the dash kit is simple to install and functional. Now that it's in, I'm quite pleased with it. The plastics are all the same color, and even though the front is textured and doesn't match the surround panel's aluminum finish, I didn't expect it to. I'm happy with the results, as evidenced by the photos.

Not all 97 Miata Tombstones are compatible with this part
3/5

I just wanted to make sure that anyone looking to buy this for their NA Miata was clear on what they were getting. This kit will only work if you have one of the 97 tombstones without the factory-installed CD player. The NA75-equipped Miatas were the last to be produced in North America. 210A- 00 center panel (same as the 94-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00- 5) If the vehicle has a CD player as an option. This means that if you have a 97M edition with a factory CD player like I do, this kit will not fit because your tombstone has a small din opening. I had no choice but to purchase the non-alcoholic version of the product. NB38- is a CD tombstone. 210A- 00 with a genuine double DIN panel.

Important information about the Miata in the United States of America
5/5

It's compatible with Mazda Miatas from the year 1997. It is not possible to work on a 90-minute deadline. Without switching to the JDM 1, the score would be 93. For 94-year-olds, choose between the 6 tombstone and the 97 USDM tombstone. 97 users. This kit was used in conjunction with my 96 M edition and the 97 tombstone. There are no problems.

This was purchased to install a double DIN Pioneer receiver in my 1999 Mazda Protege
4/5

It could be better, but it works fine. The fit wasn't perfect, but it was close enough to satisfy. We had to cut the bar out of the double DIN bezel ourselves, which was a pain, but I managed to do it neatly with a wet razor blade. The mounting system is a little flimsy, and I couldn't support the back of my head unit because there wasn't enough room to screw in the black piece they provided. Instead, I used a couple of screws with a rise in the side brackets to chuck the deck if it decided to slip out, and a folded rag to support the underneath. I finally got the deck to go all the way in after a lot of patience, and it appears to be quite secure. Although metal would have been preferable to plastic, it is all you have, so buy it.

Excellent value for money, though it arrived partially broken
3/5

It happened to me, just as it did to another customer. It came in a box with just the bag in it (no air bags or other padding like other people put in), and when I grabbed it, it was freely bouncing around, indicating that proper packaging would prevent these items from being broken. However, one of the four tabs that go around it snapped, but I hate returning things, so I worked around it. This was used in conjunction with a Pioneer AVH-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX On my 1999 Mazda Miata, I have a 1330NEX. I'm not sure if it was because the radio was small, but the bezel didn't seem to fit all the way, but as I said, I hate returning things, so I made it work. With the exception of one corner where the snap-in piece is missing, it sits pretty flush once installed. Overall, it's well worth the $12, so there's no reason to be disappointed. I believe it would not have broken if the packaging had been better or if the pieces had been sold separately, as the single din, which is much more bulky than the double din, is most likely what caused it to break. I hope this information is useful to someone.
