This isn't for a dual din system; it's for a single din system.
There is only one DIN opening on Astros. Anything can now be made to fit with just enough cutting, fitting, and engineering.
Din and a half is a combination of din and a half. A single din is all there is to it.
Yes. A single DIN receiver is what that Pioneer model is. It'll work perfectly!

This worked perfectly for installing an aftermarket radio in a 1999 GMC Sierra that I recently purchased. A Double DIN radio had been attempted to be installed in the 1. There are five DIN slots. Even after hacking the trim panel up, it wouldn't go in far enough. br>I purchased a second trim panel as well as a single DIN radio. To install the radio, I used this kit. While it was adequate for holding the radio, the final fit was not professional. To mount the radio to the bracket on the sides, I needed to run down metric off-size screws. These were similar to m5x1 in appearance. I'm guessing it's around $25. It turns out that m5 is extremely rare, and the 1. M5 rarely reaches the age of 25. It would have been nice if they had included the dollar sign. Screws that are difficult to come by, in the amount of $50. The radio's face is flush with the kit's face because it fits into a pocket. The radio trim ring is normally exposed when the face protrudes from the face of the kit, giving it a more professional appearance. br>Overall, it was a success. It appears that the year 1999-2000 was a watershed moment. To begin with, the 2000 GMC dash was a little strange. It's unlike anything you've ever seen before or since.
My factory radio died, and I had to get a single DIN system to replace it. br>MMetra 99-Metra 99-Metra 99-Metra 99-Metra 99-Me The 3002 Dash Kit worked, but the supplied bolts will not work if you use the provided side/slide mounting system! I ended up using 10/32 rack mount screws (the kind used to attach audio or other equipment to rack rails) because they were too short. have hundreds of those laying around)br>With that minor change, the kit worked flawlessly!.
It was simple to assemble and install, and it matched my 2001 Silverado's dashboard and Pioneer head unit perfectly. It securely holds the head unit and does not move or rattle in any way. br>My only gripe is that it does not bolt into the dash like the original. Instead, it employs beefy clips that are extremely strong. Not the kind of door panel clips that break easily; these are clips that you can squeeze together and remove the entire assembly without fear of breaking them. The only issue is that if you live in a bad neighborhood, the criminal will have an easier time getting out of your car. Other than that, the clips come in handy when I need to get behind the wheel.
Plastic has been updated to provide better fit and quality than before; when I had an older GMC Sierra a few years ago, the dash kits were not as good. We recently purchased a used 2005 Tahoe and these kits far outperform it in terms of fit and construction. They go in the same place as the factory unit, and the dash covers it nicely. This was not the case in the past with all of these kits, and I'm not sure if they were all Metra kits at the time. But they're perfect now, and I'm in love!.
All in all, it looks great. The only complaint I have is that the radio did not fit in the way I had hoped. It appears that the radio enjoys sliding out. Aside from that, I really like the product and will buy more if I need to in the future, plus I've always liked this brand.
This is the correct mount for a single din suburban from 1996 to 1999, Yukon, Denali, and possibly other years that I am aware of.
Models number two! We changed the radios in both my 2007 GMC Sierra Classic and my son's 2004 Sierra with kits from Walmart. br>When working on my daughter's 2001 Sierra, I had issues with ill-fitting kits from all local retailers. It was impossible to make any changes. br>I later discovered that 1999 was the year I was born. The opening is 1 1/2 DIN rather than Double DIN on the 2002 models. br>Installing a Single DIN receiver with this kit was a breeze and took less than 20 minutes! br>The 99-percentile percentile percentile percentile percentile percentile percentile percent The 02s are distinct from the 03s and higher. br>If I had just shopped here first, I could have saved a lot of money and time!.
My installation in a 2000 Chevy Silverado went extremely smoothly with no trimming or filing required. A pop-up blocker is something I use. from a single-monitor setup din unit. Because the screen interferes with the gear shifter, I must move the shifter out of the way in order for the screen to function. It might not have been an issue at all if this unit had been sunk back another millimeter or three!.
