Anyone installing a newer radio in an older vehicle must meet this requirement
5/5

Let me begin by saying that I am a tech whiz. So it wasn't too difficult to understand and wire; however, if you've never done wiring before, you might want to hire someone to do it for you or assist you. You begin by connecting the device to your PC or Laptop, then program the device with vehicle and radio [including serial number] information using the website. After that, the vehicle will be able to communicate with the radio in a proper manner. Even with the prebuilt wiring harness, you'll need to solder and/or wire crimp the radio's wiring to the ADS-B receiver. The wiring harness used by MRR. The best part, and the reason I gave it five stars, is that the website PROVIDES you with a schematic that includes all of the necessary wires. I had everything wired in under an hour, thanks to small wire butt connectors and a soldering iron for tinting the wire ends. br>br>After the ADS-I is installed, My truck controls were perfectly in sync with the radio thanks to MRR. The ADS-II was the coolest part. MRR, which makes use of the ODB- On the radio's display, I could see Exhaust Gauge Temp, MAF Ratios, and Throttle Positions.

More capabilities than those provided by the factory
5/5

When I was replacing aftermarket head units in my 2012 Highlander with a Pioneer AVH-500, I installed the Maestro RR. W4400NEX. Previously, I had been controlling the steering wheel with an AXXESS interface. The Maestro RR combines a steering wheel control interface with an OBDII monitor, allowing me to view CAN bus information as well as individual tire pressures on the head unit screen. The vehicle comes equipped with only a low tire pressure warning light on the dashboard, and you must guess which tire sensor is causing it. On a nice graphical representation of a car, I can see which tires are not properly pressurized with the Maestro RR. In addition, some functions (e. g. , Instead of using the clumsy method provided by the manufacturer, the automatic door lock control) can be configured from the head unit interface.

It really works! Customer service and technical support are of the highest quality
5/5

I was able to keep all factory features on my 2008 Silverado 2500HD LTZ thanks to this interface and the correct harnesses. A computer is required to flash or program it to your specific vehicle and factory options. The website does an excellent job of guiding you through the setup process by providing drop-down menus. down menus that are specific to your vehicle, as well as all of the factory options that are available. Actual photos of factory steering wheels are used to ensure that the correct options are selected. It also asks for the model number of your aftermarket head unit and includes actual photographs of each unit for reference. If you know what options your vehicle has, setup will take only a few minutes. The only flaw I found with this interface is that the connectors are on opposite sides, which makes for a less tidy installation. To make the installation a little neater and less bulky, I rearranged the factory harnesses. I had a question about one of the harnesses, so I contacted the manufacturer, who provided excellent customer service and technical support. I wasn't on the phone for very long. I simply dialed a number for tech support and was connected to someone who spoke perfect English in a matter of seconds. I wasn't asked for any purchase date, location, or serial numbers; instead, I was asked for vehicle and head unit information, and they answered all of my questions in under four minutes. The person on the other end of the line even offered me a walk-through of the facility. I was thinking about the features on my head unit. This interface, when used with the appropriate harnesses, allows you to keep all of your factory features while also adding some extras (for example, gauges that read vehicle information from the OBDII port if your head unit supports it). Please keep in mind that installation requires at least a smattering of technical knowledge. Professional installation may be required if you've never installed an aftermarket head unit before.

These appear to be hit-or-miss at best
3/5

My vehicle has broken down. After having great success with it in my Mustang and 2013 F150, I tried it in my 2016 F150. From the beginning, there were issues, and I could never get SYNC to work with it. The "downloaded instructions" on their website were completely useless for actual setup and use. Spent weeks bouncing back and forth between their tech support and the Ford dealership, each blaming the other. Their tech support assured me that their module could not have caused this because many other people with F150s equipped with my options had no problems. It also caused a number of codes to appear on my ECU, and it completely disabled the Pro Trailer Backup system. I eventually removed it along with my stereo in order to test Ford's theory that the problems were caused by this module and stereo, and he was correct. As soon as I took this unit out and replaced it with my factory stereo - Everything on the truck was in working order, and there were no error codes. There was nothing I could do to "reset" anything. I'm not sure what to make of this. As I stated at the outset, I have these EXACT same modules on my 13 Mustang and F150, and they work flawlessly (all of my stereos are Kenwood Excelons, so I don't believe the stereo is the issue). I was a little disappointed because I tried it twice. When they had new firmware, their support suggested that I try again. While some functions improved, others deteriorated (it classified my truck as a C-). Max) and the ECU codes kept on going. So now it's back to the factory, and I'm left with a lot of unused stereo gear. If you get one, I suppose you should look into their "support forums" to see if your vehicle is having a lot of issues with their module.

This is a fantastic little device; it wasn't easy to set up, but I didn't expect it to be
5/5

It should have been plug and play after the flashing (web-based and only using Internet Explorer), but you must pay attention to the pictorial instructions because the molex style connectors fit into multiple spots. The first disadvantage is that the wiring harness required for the installation is so short that it had to be wire tied to the main harness. The location of the harness slots is the second flaw. Because they aren't all on the same side of the unit, you'll have to twist and bend the short harness to get everything plugged in. Aside from that, it fulfills all of its promises.
