I don't have heated seats, either, and it works fine; you simply replace the old bracket with your existing row of buttons. The two USB ports are powered by a jumper cable that is included with the cigarette lighter.
Yes, it is possible. It can be used to replace the one that came with your computer.
Hellobr>Your car's buttons will not be broken by the relocation bracket. The HVAC system was simply relocated. Thank you for your time and consideration, and best wishes! br>Dynavin is a fictional character created by the author Dynavin.
Yes, it is possible. What is important to note, however, is whether or not there are seams between the lower buttons (above the gear shift). If there are seams, the individual row style is required. If your car doesn't have any seams, this single row bracket is the one for you.

Pricey. It's far superior to the Metra Dash kit, but it's also more than twice the price and lacks a radio mounting kit. The USB works fine, and it's a lot nicer than running a wire to the glove box or something. However, for $90, I expected the plastic to be a little better quality, or at least comparable to what it replaced. It's very thin, and I'm sure it'll break if you don't install it carefully. My bracket was shipped to me upside down, which I believe is to prevent it from breaking. Dynavin, on the other hand, does not inform you of this, and neither do the very simple one-page instructions. I was on the verge of breaking the whole thing trying to figure out how to put it together until I realized I needed to remove the bracket and flip it over. After that, the installation was very simple and went together perfectly. There are no gaps or tightness, giving it a clean modern look. It's a dead ringer for me.
The Dynavin AC relocation bracket did a great job cleaning up the interior and it looks great, though there are a few minor flaws in the design that I would suggest fixing. br>br>The first flaw is that it doesn't come with its own 12v cigarette lighter plug, so you'll have to use the one that came with your factory bracket. When attempting to unplug something from the cigarette lighter, such as a phone charger, this will cause unwanted play in the cigarette lighter plug. br>br>The design flaw, which is my biggest pet peeve, is that the HVAC buttons fit perfectly inside the bracket and there is no play in the bracket itself. However, you cannot change what is plugged into the cigarette lighter on a regular basis. For example, suppose you have a bluetooth FM radio transmitter that plugs into the cigarette lighter and you need to remove it for some reason. The center trim for the shifter bezel (not sure if automatic transmission cars have the same issue) interferes with the cigarette lighter plug, so I had to remove my shifter, shifter bezel, and center trim with the window switches off just to unplug whatever was in the cigarette lighter on my standard transmission BMW. br>br>Aside from that, the HVAC relocation bracket is well-made, doesn't feel flimsy, and only requires a screwdriver with a 2 bit and a T15 or T20 Torx bit to disassemble the stock bracket and replace the harness and buttons. All of the screw holes were perfectly aligned, making installation a breeze. br>br>Pictures for clearance issues as a reference.
The radio is secured in its own installation, so I skipped this bracket because it's a little pricey. Squeezing the climate control and DSC button row together works, but friction is the only thing that keeps it in place. This bracket not only keeps everything in place, but it also gives a clean factory look to what was already a tidy installation. You get climate control that is properly secured, as well as DTS and DSC relocation. Removes the OG charging/cigarette lighter power supply and replaces it with a USB charging and input device. Everything appears to be made in a factory. It was well worth the extra money.
It's a good idea with terrible execution, just like the rest of Dynavin's products:
1. Plastic is flimsy to say the least. I wouldn't be surprised if it (or the HVAC controls) squeaks under hard acceleration.
2. The USB and 12v plugs should be angled up to 30 degrees. The angle is 45 degrees. It's difficult to plug into the bottom USB port as is. I tried plugging my old charger into a 12 volt outlet, but the shifter trim barely fit. What happened to their quality assurance?
3. My old 12 volt socket wouldn't fit into the new shell: I was a millimeter off on the holes.
4. There were no instructions (which didn't bother me)br>br>In the end, I didn't return this item because there were no other options with built-in USB. That is an excellent suggestion.
I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that my bottom USB port doesn't work, despite following the instructions, and I'm still not getting power from it; however, the top USB port works great, and I've connected it to an Android unit via a carplay dongle. It has a fantastic appearance! br>br>I really like the way it looks, and it's very well made! Update 8/21: Dynavin sent me a replacement, and the bottom USB port is now operational! The rating will be raised to a maximum of five!.
It looks great in my E46 with the Avin Avant 4 stereo. I have a wireless CarPlay adapter that used to be in the glove compartment but now connects to the USB port on this fascia piece. I'm not sure I like it being outside, but it's now much easier to plug in a cord if I ever need to. I didn't find it to be particularly flimsy, but it does bend more than the OEM plastic. It took a little bit of tension to keep it in place while screwing it down, but it works great now. The cigarette lighter socket isn't the best fit, and I can't quite get it in far enough for the two teeth to grab it, but there's enough friction to keep it from falling out.
It works perfectly for installing an Android headunit (Eonon) in my E46. Though the plastic is a little thin, the fit is excellent for an aftermarket part. flimsy. To keep the cigarette plug in place, I had to fiddle with it. br>br>Everything works fine, including the USB port for Android Auto/CarPlay, the USB charging port, and the Bluetooth connection. the cigarette lighter plug The only issue I have with the ports is that they are a little loose. A light tug on the cables will easily dislodge them. Because there were no other options, I had no choice but to spend the money on this trim.
It's a good product that's also fairly durable. It appears to be original equipment manufacturer. To clean it up, I added a plug (VW/Audi pictured) to the outlet, but I think it looks nice. br>br>USB pass through on top works well for adding car play/Android auto adapter to your head unit.
