Questions & Answers

How do you know if this will fit my 2008 RWD Chevy Colorado?

There is no fit for that. only found out a few minutes ago. My 08 Colorado 2 was dropped on the ground and my pan broke. This engine has a 9-liter V8. As it stands, the filter is not long enough. It needs to come down 3 inches from the trans mating surface when installed. The one in question is under 3 inches, which means that even if you get it in there, it could drop down a bit, if not all the way out of the seal passage, which would then cause the fluid to I do not recommend it. For 2008 Colorado 2, do not use this. This 9L RWD is the real deal!

What kind of sealant do you need ?

It is best to use traditional shellac if you need to use some kind of sealant, as there is no excess that can break off inside the pan when you squeeze out the excess. It is best not to tempt fate by running such particles through the filter. This is a better choice than nothing (which is also

The item fits a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado How do you like that 3 with a six-speed automatic Also, it will it be in compliance with the warranty from GM for the drive train?

This is a good filter for modems from 2007 to 2010. I am not sure about later modems, iTS is likely to be The letter ‘A’ In terms of quality, C delco parts are very similar to oem auto parts from gm. It is not known whether it is covered by warranty

Can the 200r4 transmission be fitted with this?

You can look up the ACDELC part number for your application using the make, year, and model of your vehicle on rockauto. In the case that the part number is the same, then yes, you can use it.

You should not buy OEM if you want to save money! The Chevy Silverado 4 was manufactured in 2001

With 3 shallow V6 pans, 16 holes can be drilled. It is one of the jobs you dread! There is nothing particularly complex about it, though it is a bit You can learn how to do this by going online and searching " 4l60e transmission and filter change". . . I used 1) latex gloves, cardboard, shop towels, a trash bag, and an oil catch pan for my shadetree experience. 1) socket set, flathead, pry bar, mallet or hammer, and a You can do it a lot easier with ramps! 3) I striped my drain plug, because it is a common problem. Let drain after removing bolts from one rear corner and loosening bolts in a different place. To remove all the bolts, eject one bolt from the rear and one from the front of the vehicle. It is best to do this when the engine is WARM and a 1/4-inch clear tube can be inserted into the pan to siphon out the remaining oil. Run the tube from driver's side to front. Approximately one hour from start to finish I have 5 qts in the 4) Use paint thinner to clean the inside of the pan. By means of a razor, remove the gasket. It helps to clean gasket residue off the pan with a brass brush. 5) Place the gasket under an object that is heavy and flat few days before installation. Starting with all 16 bolts and threading them up at least 1/4" on the clean rim, place the gasket on top. Then install the filter and then the Bolts should be started by hand by using an extension and tightened by hand. By using 1 hand, make a diagonal pattern, then tighten, with just 1 hand! Make sure you do not overtighten your seal. If you do, you may crack the gasket. 6). Be sure to follow the manual for fluid and capacity for the model/make. You should check after keeping your car running for thirty minutes, then park, leave it running and check the Make sure the surface of your vehicle is level for at least two days. Do not skimp on this one, I have 190k on mine, it will be the last filter I buy. That's the perfect fit for you! As for the filter seal, I did not replace it since mine was still in excellent condition. It has been this long, so why not refill 5 qts of Valvoline Dex/Merc in my old tranny. Dex 6 and above will be used starting in 2007. They can both be found at both Walgreens and Amazon.

Transmission fluid must be changed regularly and can be extremely messy to do
5/5

Now I've driven for 3000 miles without a leak and I used the rtv and gaskets. Replacing the filter was not difficult but I did not have a torque wrench, so I was unable to tighten down the torque bolts in the transmission, or to remove the old seal on the transmission filters, so I just stuck them back My fluid saved me a gallon and a half but I spilled half a gallon, there were five pans underneath but the transferring pan fell on all of them and spilled all of them halfway before I could catch them, and I had fluid up to my shoulders. My used oil will still be buried at the trash company instead of being recycled, even though I used it dry. I find it amusing what one learns Unless you are on a tight budget, you should not attempt to do this yourself.

There is no way that it will fit an It was specifically designed for my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 as it stated that it would work The transmission pan is removed after being removed from the vehicle
3/5

As I pressed in the new filter, as soon as I removed the old one, I was shocked to see the pan wouldn't close properly! You later find out that the new filter does NOT have the same angle cut as the old one, and the pan will not clear! The most frustrating thing is when you plan out your repair to the tee and then you have a filter that does not fit and I have to search for the right part. Would not wish those experiences on any buyer, so please check your transmission filter before removing your oil pan. Make sure you are buying the right thing.

Make sure all your pan bolts are counted before ordering! In the event that it's a good product for you, this is great
4/5

Check your pan to make sure there are no loose bolts. I couldn't fit it into my truck as it stated it would, but it did. It is because my year Silverado (2012) has a different transmission from that of others. A different pan was required for my Tranny due to its heavier duty. It was my mistake, so please do not make the same mistake again.

The fit was perfect, but the installation was difficult

I have no complaints about this part. 2 weeks have elapsed since this part was supposed to be delivered It should take about three For your information There is no easy way to install this system. It is a poor design by Chevy on this truck since it requires the user to loosen two connections for the exhaust ports as it is extremely difficult to remove the pan. There was a workaround provided in a YouTube video. Despite several hours of waiting, it took a long time.

Parts from the original manufacturer are always fitted correctly
5/5

Thanks to a good gasket and filter, the transmission fluid needed to be changed. Apart from making my driveway red with trans fluid, I didn't have to do much. In the kit Advance sold me there was a rubber gasket I did not trust. Using brake cleaner and a wire brush, I cleaned the mating surfaces. Furthermore, I washed the pan in a parts washer after I removed the magnets. During installation, the Delco version had the right cork gasket that kept the bolts in place and enabled them to be threaded all at the same time. Bolts should not be overtightened as this could cause them to break. As long as I torque the nut to about 10ft lbs, it would seal.

Always make sure your bolts are counted! On my 2013 GMC Denali 2500 HD 6, the filter was differently sized compared to mine, so I thought I counted my bolts correctly

A 6L90 is 0L. Since I had already passed the return date at the time that I replaced my filter, I wanted to share my error. "ACDelco 24236933 Professional Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter Kit" was the filter I had to purchase. There was a rubber gasket on my switch that was All it needs is a good clean-up and a new coat of paint As for the filter and gasket, they seem to be in good condition. Just make sure you buy the right one or at the very least install it within the 45 day return period.

The gasket shown is not the one I used
3/5

It was important to me that I run factory parts on my truck, so I purchased this kit. Similarly, I would go for the black fiber gasket (as shown in the advertisement) instead of the other types of gaskets. The filter was from Acdelco as expected and the cork gasket was a piece of crap. At the same time, I was doing a lot of work to my truck and did not have time to go to the store for another one, nor was it worth waiting for Amazon to deliver My disappointment was in the quality of service, as I received an item different from what was described.
