I am looking for a Ram 1500 quadcab or 6 tire size that will fit my 2016 Ram 1500. With minimal modification, it is possible to store a 5' bed. It sounds like Although their sound is a bit deeper than the Super 40's I had on my last hemi, they are still quite satisfactory. As soon as MDS (i. e. Fuel saver 4 cylinder mode) kicks in below 55 and you barely have to depress the accelerator. They do drone, but this occurs with nearly all MDS exhaust systems. When you are traveling 75 mph with cruise on, they are barely louder than stock, and even with MDS turned on, you can't My guess is that it is roughly between 1600 and 1730 There is no problem with 1900 RPM, but only if you give it a little Whether you turn off your MDS through a program or by shifting to manual, you will hear an incredible sound. Once you get up to speed, it's not so loud as stock. Getting behind the wheel of it you'll have difficulty talking inside, but once you're cruising it isn't that loud. In addition to the one you've seen, there are many more youtube videos to watch as well. Unfortunately, I don't have a camera with a good microphone to make the best of it.
Modification For a dual rear out configuration, I had to trim about 3 inches of both tailpipes so they would line up flush with the bottom of the bumper. Using a mallet, I hammered the parts all the way in as far as they would go, including the exhaust tips, but with no success. If you want the clamps to stay put, I strongly recommend that they be tack welded on each side. About every other week, I had 90 ft lbs on my clamps and there were still times when the clamps came loose to the point where you could see the tailpipe turned. The welded wheels have been a perfect fit for weeks now that they have been driven on unpaved roads for long periods of time.
Perfect install and great quality, apart from It's the same exhaust system I converted from my stock single side exit exhaust. The OEM exhaust hanger and bolt, as well as two hanger insulators, will need to be purchased for the left side of the exhaust to be supported if you have the single outlet exhaust stock. Mounted on top of the rear crossmember, the hanger gets bolted on. There is a heavy duty feel to the clamps. This system has all the piping fitting snugly, not too loosely like some others. Everything is held down securely by clamps. The tac welding on my mine was a safety measure. It is great that you have the option of dual exits on the sides as well as the To do dual exit rear you must use the bumper with the cutouts. The only issue I ran into was that the relief cuts on the tips weren't big enough to mount the tip securely to the tailpipe and the bolt wasn't as strong as you'd think. My relief was increased to 1/2 to 1 inch, and a grade 8 bolt was upgraded to the same size. Now NO leaks exist, and everything stays in place properly.
The exhaust kit I bought from CC Auto Shop was at a great price. I had done a great deal of research into aftermarket exhaust kits, and this was the one I chose. It seemed like the 50 series muffler was the better choice. Fiberglass or filters are not used in the truck and a performance boost is to be expected. I had a bit of skepticism in part because I knew there were fake Flowmaster Mufflers out there, and the price worried me. A seller I am concerned about has been contacted. Assuring me that the product was genuine, they assured me it was not a scam. This exhaust system arrived 4 days after I ordered it, and total installation time was about 3 hours. Preparation, removal of my factory exhaust system, and installation were all easy. With just hand tools, they do it all without jacks, lifts, or other machinery. In order to start the truck, I tightened the last bolt and turned it on. It is a patented sound from Flowmaster. I was surprised with the volume, glad it was noticeable, and pleased that it was loud enough to hear. The first thing I had to do was When the vehicle is traveling less than 50mph, the throttle response and power are slightly altered. On the other hand, once I took the truck on the interstate, I knew I had made my money's This exhaust seems to perform better with the N intake). It gives off a great sound when you accelerate, and people turn around to look at you. There is still some overwhelm, but it's not too bad. I can think of is that there is a noticeable drone in the cab when driving at 2000rpms at 60mph with MDS off. If I have a new truck or a few years from now, I'll definitely look into the super10 muffler (outlaw), but for now, the American Thunder kit is one of the best upgrades I've done We'll see if the boost in fuel economy with this exhaust is enough to make up for what I lost with the It would be awesome, if I am not prone to flooring it out of every stoplight since I cannot get enough of that 8 cylinder!.
In a nutshell, It's time for the hemi to sound like this! I really enjoy the sound this exhaust emits over the stock exhaust. You will get some drone at around 2000 rpm (which I consider to be worth it IMHO), but you can manage this when you are cruising on the highway by decelerating or increasing speed. All in all, I am very pleased with my 2020 Ram 1500 Classic from American Thunder!.
As far as I'm concerned, this exhaust kit is This sound system is easy to install (on a brand new pickup truck) and The dual pipe configuration I went with is out the side of the car, but it also comes with straight pipes to go out the back. Product of the highest quality.
I like it a lot. The installation was not bad at all. There is no evidence of welding on The clamps on this machine are amazing.
Roosting clamps by themselves are not as strong as the rest of the fittings. As long as the exhaust is spot welded in place to keep it in place, the band clamps will only hold it in They include bolts to fasten the exhaust tips to the selected rear/side exit, but do not secure tightly enough so that they will not be too annoyingly.
I installed it in two days and it shipped the next day. My 2015 Ram 5 thumps great when I play this. If you order the exhaust, don't forget to order some new rubber exhaust hangars.
