To get a different sound out of my 87 Firebird, I purchased this Flowmaster 40 series muffler. It gives me a deep tone that is not overwhelmingly As opposed to the straight through muffler I had on my car, I wanted loud but not harsh. I like it because it's made in the USA, it works well for my application, and it sounds excellent. The Firebird 40 series Flowmaster can be heard on YouTube (Firebird 40 series).
In this case, I am using it as an echo I expected the size and fit to be as described. A Magnaflow 60111 catalytic converter and a Diamond Eye 4" Turbo back system complete with muffler and this flowmaster muffler are the new components of my new system for my 1998 Dodge with 12 valve Cummins Diesel engine.
