I don't think there's any reason why it shouldn't be done. If you select the correct turbo size. I'm not sure if it's a t4 or a t6 size, but I'm guessing it's a t4.

T3 is for threes, t6 is for sixs.

The dimensions given in the advertisement are off by 1/2", so subtract 1/2" from the given measurements before making your decision; it'll be a tight fit.

Duramax 5 LLY is perfect. I removed the factory metal heat shield and slipped this on and tucked it around the turbo, didn't even need the springs, and it was also wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

DOESN'T FIT A LARGE T6

Although the quality appeared to be satisfactory, this blanket is not a t6 blanket. My t6 80mm turbo isn't covered at all. This would be a good match for a t4 midframe.
