Questions & Answers

Will this also protect aluminum fuel lines from abrasion and road debris if I use it that way?

I am convinced that it would be ideal for removing road debris and grit on a regular basis. As soon I remove the covering from the lines I am on, everything appears as it should. (I have them on my car for over 15 years) But if you're discussing off-road tires The road must be clear of all debris and pressure washed, otherwise it cannot be used.

This is 36" or 10" in width. What is the length of 5"?

Protects against heat with a 1 inch heat shield. The dimensions are 36 inches wide x 36 inches tall. The length of each hook and loop fastening is as follows

The edges of this cut down sheet are fraying, so can you cut it down to accommodate different lengths?

In order to keep the edge from fraying, you can either sew it or use duct tape or aluminum tape. As a matter of fact, I cut it on my car and stapled over the cut edge It has been going well thus far

The diameter of the wheel can be adjusted, right?

The difference is not as great as you might think. I'd want to attach at least 1/4 inch of velcro to the cloth. The velcro is about 5/8" wide.

This is the perfect cable to fix gear shifts
5/5

I'm stuck in a lane at a gas station to fill up my RV. We tried to move the vehicle to finish our trip but the shifting cable melted against the exhaust. We panicked. Our journey began when we discovered the drive gear beneath the drive shaft. We noticed early in the trip that the cable was melted, so we zipped it up and tied it The cables and zip ties were covered with heat shrouds. So far, so good, but I'll have to replace the cable for the gear shift. A Velcro strap makes it easy for you to cut We recommend keeping this in our RV or garage at all times.

In case you are cutting the fabric to length
4/5

The product is well suited for the purpose it was created for. Although the instructions indicate that the Velcro closure strips can be cut to size, be mindful that the Velcro strips are attached using sticking, which reminded me of the old Charcoal Briquette Bags. You won't be able to stop it once it gets underway. In order to use both the "now" and the "later" lengths, I need to add tick marks. But if you need a specific length and you need to wrap a piece that is part of a larger assembly that cannot be separated, you can do it with this.

Ensures that the auxiliary lightning wires do not burn up or melt
5/5

The wire loom was melting from the heat coming from the turbo and exhaust on the passenger side of the engine. I never thought of installing some sort of heat protection until it was too late. My standard wire loom had been replaced several times and I was tired of cutting wires to complete the installation. I decided to order this sleeve because it didn't require cutting wires. I installed it pretty easily using Velcro, and it has held up very well so far. The muffler is installed on an emissions-compliant '18 truck and is a must-have due to the fact that they run a little hotter than their predecessors During regens ( ), there are corresponding emissions.

It at first seemed like I was paying too much, but later I realized I was not
5/5

My initial thought was that I was paying too much, but after using it for 6 months and discovering that all kinds of cables/lines that weren't wrapped began to melt, I realized I had to get these. A modified Jeep Wrangler I own produces a lot of heat thanks to its new engine/transmission combo. Add to this the fact that I raised everything as much as possible into the body to gain ground clearance, and you've got a 600-degree Among my other cables, I have my air locker cable, fuel line, emissions line, and clutch slave cable wrapped I have had my factory-installed heat shield on the cable of the transfer case shift twice fail and melt it. I haven't had a problem since I put on the 1/2 inch sleeve from DEI!.

The purchase was a good one
5/5

After reading reviews, I was hesitant to order it seems like it'll only be used once after the velcro comes off after cutting to fit and separating. However, the manufacturer makes good quality parts, so I decided to go for it. I can't say the same about myself. The package stays together quite well, but if you open it, you need to be careful how rough you are with My purchase has been a great success.

After I swapped the LS3 into my Genesis, it took quite a long time
5/5

My long tube headers sit immediately next to the fuel lines on my LS3 swapped Genesis. Specifically, I used this to wrap the lines closest to the headers, as well as the large and small starter wires, the alternator wire, and the fuel return (near the tank, and a portion of the return line is near the The only complaint I have is that the Velcro stitching is really cheap, so don't dare come unfastened You might lose the Velcro if you are not careful. A couple hundred miles after writing this review, I will update this.

You cannot cut to the length you need
4/5

As a result of the way the velcro is sewn on, the jacket will come unaffixed if the length is shortened. In the past, I have used DEI's products and they are terrific at protecting against heat. If there's no velcro, I either use zip ties or a velcro patch. I hope that this will mitigate the threat of melting of my newly rebuilt tranny harness.

The Mazda MX5 was released in 2011 It does exactly what it says it will! Originally, I had some headers on, but I recently installed some brake lines and had to keep them
