This seems a little too small to me. My hot side is about 4 inches long. This one fits it snugly and perfectly; however, I would recommend getting a slightly larger one.
It is determined by the sizzle of the turbo exhaust.

After doing some research, things started to make sense in terms of the thermal dynamic properties and theories that turbos are based on. Short version of a long story These items are well worth the money! I was looking for a cheap but durable turbo blanket for my 59mm turbo and luckily came across this product, which fit perfectly over my exhaust housing and has literally shifted my power-to-weight ratio. For my car, I started the band about 500 RPM earlier. At part-throttle, the turbo spools up faster and enters boost 500 RPM faster. These guys have done their homework to the nth degree. br>br>I've had it for three weeks and have had no complaints, aside from a funky odor during the first week of use. The odor isn't there. Now that it's been almost three weeks, it's still going strong. br>br>Awesome product at an even better price, and shipping was lightning fast. I'll return in the summer to see how well it keeps the engine bay cool.
I'm afraid I won't be able to put it to good use. My turbo has a wastegate that is located inside the engine. Blanket, on the other hand, was dead serious! It cost around $30 to purchase. 00, and the only ones that I can use are those that cost $180. 00! Please make one for the waste gates inside the building.
I'm not sure what it does, but it's pretty! The jury is still out on whether or not these devices are effective. Some people swear by them, while others claim that using laser thermometers to check various areas of the engine bay with and without a blanket makes no difference. So, at the very least, it looks nice and serves as a nice finishing touch. br> And, as others have pointed out, there is an odor when the product is first opened. I was driving last night and smelled something "off," which made me panic for a moment (this is a brand new motor), but then I remembered that these things have a smell when they are new.
A b18's access to the oil dip stick is hampered by its size. Excellent craftsmanship. I liked the instructions. br>br>However, I wish there were four total hooks to attach the springs to. To make it easier to grab the spring around the DP, tie it with a zip tie. Simply connect two springs in series if you're stretching too much.
When I first ordered this blanket, I was a little skeptical. I found this to be a thick, high-quality turbo blanket after inspecting it and modifying it to fit my wastegate location on the turbine housing. It's only been a few days, but everything appears to be in working order. br>Recent changes: After a coolant line on my turbo broke, I purchased another. It soaked my blanket in coolant, which was not a good thing.
I'm exchanging for a T25 because of the good quality for the price. This T3 version was too large for my G25-based computer. 660 0. 72 A/R turbo, which I should have realized would fit because the T30 is similar to the G30, but comments said it would. I didn't notice the T25 at the time, either.
It is of poor quality. After the first day of turbo use, the cover began to fall apart.
On my Forced Performance Blue turbocharger, I removed the rattle heat shield. I quickly became aware of how hot it had become- Until this arrived, I did not drive hard in my car. br>br>Turbo blankets are overpriced at $150. If you, like me, have an internal waste gate, simply cut the side with scissors. I also didn't use any springs. It just fits perfectly, and I didn't even have to remove my TMIC to do it. br>br>Be on the lookout for more information.
