Yes, it is possible. Take your time, work slowly, and use hose clamps to create/hold the shape until you're ready to install your stainless ties.
I've successfully cut this material with both metal shears and tin snips. Metal shears or heavier-duty scissors designed for cutting sheet metal performed admirably. This shield's metal side isn't overly thick or difficult to cut through. I would not, however, use standard paper-cutting scissors. They're not going to be able to get past it.
I wouldn't use it in any situation where it might come into contact with a human or animal.
That is something I am not sure about. It is intended for use as a heat shield for engines. It all depends on how hot your griddle gets and how far away it is from the wood. It could work if it's at least twelve inches away.

This was put in place to protect the AC line and the slim ac fan that I had installed. Without it, the air conditioner only worked when I was moving. It now works all of the time and has significantly reduced engine bay temperatures. Instead of wrapping around one side, I plan to switch headers and fully wrap my next header, as it smokes and stinks for a few days. There is very little smoke. Only noticed when stopped at a red light with a window or fresh air vent open. After a few days, it stopped smoking and smelling.
This stuff is fantastic at insulating you from the heat. I used it to make a heat shield for my starter, as well as wrapping some around it for added protection. I'm no longer experiencing any hot starts.
Bendable, strong, and able to withstand high temperatures while preventing a wire from becoming burned if it becomes loosened.
Very good.
It's ideal for cutting any size and shape heat shield you require. To keep things in place, I used stainless straps. I removed the resonator xpipe and it worked perfectly as a replacement for my stock heat shield.
It's absolutely incredible. And the sheet is much larger than I had anticipated. With the amount you get, you could wrap the headers around one car. It really works.
It cut the noise in half when I wrapped it around the clutch housing of my utv. Forming is simple.
Great product. br>br>NB it irritates me a lot.
