br>If you're going to change this part, I'd suggest doing two things. First and foremost, have assistance on hand; an extra set of hands is always beneficial. Second, after removing the DEF tank from beneath the truck, EMPTY it. It's much easier to reinstall an empty tank than it is to reinstall a full tank. The DEF fluid is at least 8 pounds in weight. br>per gallon is a unit of measurement used to express the amount of liquid in a gallon I got through 5 of them. When I replaced the assembly on my truck, I got 5 gallons out of it! br>That was 40 and a half pounds I didn't have to support! br>Wishing you the best of luck! br>May God bless you!.
With the help of a YouTube video, installation was fairly simple. Don't forget to use the rubber washers that came with the miscellaneous parts kit. It took me about 2 hours to take out the old one and replace it with the new one. It was a little more difficult with a full def reservoir, but it was still doable. The temperature has dropped to around 20 degrees Fahrenheit since it was installed a few weeks ago. So far, there have been no issues. It appears to be well constructed.
The DEF tank had to be removed, but once that was done, the heater went in without a hitch. It was a fantastic value. OEM is significantly more expensive. In the scorching heat of Texas, the OEM heater lasted only four years and seventy thousand miles.
350 SD. I prepared for the installation by watching a few videos beforehand. The cost of this item was less than that of similar items.
The dealer will charge $500 for this part and the mechanic will charge $300 to install it. I made the decision to complete it on my own. The most difficult part was removing the tank because it was full, but having an extra pair of hands helped. After reading the other reviews, I decided to purchase the warranty in the hopes of not needing it. When you turn the truck off, it makes a vacuum-like noise for a few seconds, but I'll take it for $88.
It works perfectly and there is no need for any additional code. 2015 6. I don't usually leave reviews, but this substitute was fantastic.
