Questions & Answers

Is the quality of this part comparable to the Bosch part for the Land Rover D2s?

Yes, one of these was used in my D2 from 2004.

Is this part compatible with the 2007 Kia Spectra? This patent number 28910- is listed in the Kia parts catalog. 22040, but according to Amazon's message, it does not fit. ?

If Kia mentions this exact part number, I'd give it a try if Amazon can't confirm fit. The worst-case scenario is that you simply return it.

When you shake this part, does it move? I'd like to replace mine, but I want to make sure it's faulty. Is the shake test, from what I've read, a good way to go?

A solenoid is a device that controls the flow of electricity through a circuit. There is no movement. To open and close, it needs voltage signals from the car. A hand vacuum pump is the simplest way to see if yours is broken. How to do it: Remove the fuel cap and turn off the car. Remove the hose that leads to this from the throttle body. 3a. Using a hand pump, create a vacuum in the hose. This part is probably broken if you can't get vacuum. If you can get vacuum, something else is causing the problem. 3b. If you still can't get vacuum, use a meter to check for voltage at the connector to make sure it's not a wiring problem. This is carried out while the engine is running. This solenoid will not receive power if the key is turned off and the engine is turned off. Disconnect the solenoid and check the part terminals for resistance (ohms) as a second test to confirm a bad solenoid. Having no resistance is a bad thing. Mine was a stumbling block; it wouldn't fully close. I tried using carb cleaner to clean it, but it was ineffective. If this valve is stuck open while refueling the car, vapors are forced into the intake, resulting in a flood. This is most likely the cause if you can bury the pedal for two seconds while starting your car and it starts and runs. If you're having problems that aren't related to refueling, you're probably dealing with something else.

The Land Rover Discovery 2 is compatible with this model
5/5

I replaced the purge valve in my 2003 Land Rover Discovery 2 after receiving a P0441 code. It fixed the problem, and I was able to pass my smog test in California. This component is significantly less expensive than the Bosch component, which is manufactured in Germany. I'm not sure how long this section will last - The Bosch was in use for more than 15 years. And, if these parts are made in different countries, I don't see how they could be identical. Although it doesn't say on the part (unless I missed it - I'm not sure), I believe this one was made in Asia. I wasn't looking for it; it was just on the original Bosch part that I noticed it). I'm hoping the component is of good quality. If it begins to fail or throw errors, I'll post an update. So far, everything has gone according to plan - It's only been a week, though.

The vehicle's performance was improved after the fault code was removed
5/5

Replaced an old valve that was causing "EVAP" fault codes, which appears to be a common issue with older Hyundais. The new part fit perfectly in the holder, and the car has been running like new for over a week without the "Check Engine" light on. The shipping was incredibly quick, and the part was clearly labeled. Overall, I was blown away!.

My Hyundai was no longer unable to start after refueling! The family Hyundai SANTA Fe had the classic "no start/hard start after refueling" problem, and with some quick google-fu, we were able to figure out how to fix it
5/5

The most likely culprit, according to fu, was this valve. With getting the sockets out and cleaning up, the valve took only 10 minutes to install. Basically, it's a plug-and-play situation. We've refueled a total of five times. The starting problem has been resolved six times since the valve was replaced!.

This is a direct replacement for the purge valve on the Land Rover Disco 2! Yes
5/5

This will take the place of Disco 2's purge valve. It's the same part, and it took me the entire 10 minutes to clear the code from gathering tools to clearing the code. br>br>I hope the illustration is helpful. Always keep in mind which way the original one was facing.

If your Santa Fe won't start after you refueled it, try this! Original manufacturer's labled bag was included in the shipment
5/5

With the help of Y. It was simple to locate the defective unit and replace it with this new one with the assistance of others. Even after refueling twice, the vehicle runs fine, and since installing the new purge control valve, I have not had a restart problem after refueling.

Suitable for Land Rover Discovery models from 1999 to the present
5/5

Land Rover Discovery 1999-2002 is also compatible with this part. 2004 I was able to clear my code for a fraction of the cost of purchasing from Land Rover. I'd suggest getting the genuine Hyudai part; I bought a no-name brand and it only lasted about a year.
