Questions & Answers

Is this part compatible with a 2013 Cruze Eco Turbo 1?

On my 2013 Cruze lt, I installed it with the 1. It was a perfect fit for the 4 turbo with no issues.

Is this part compatible with a Chevy Sonic 1 from 2013?

Not sure. Ours is a one-year-old model from 2013. 4 turbo.

Has anyone else had a p0442 code fixed as a result of this? Is it true that there is a minor evaporative leak?

Yes. I found the code at Autozone and purchased the part. I fixed it in 15 minutes and it works perfectly. I saved several hundred dollars.

Is this going to work on a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze?

I'm not sure, but it was a perfect fit for my 2012 Sonic with the 1. If you have a four-turbocharged engine, I'm guessing it will fit.

For the P0496 error code, it worked perfectly! The "service engine" light on the dashboard of my daughter's car illuminated
5/5

She drives a Chevrolet Cruze LT 1 from the year 2013. 4 liter. I connected it to my OBD2 device. The P0496 code was assigned to me. I purchased this item and replaced it on my own. br>Replacing it is a piece of cake. I'm a woman who isn't afraid to try to fix things on my own, so I looked up the code on YouTube. How to replace it was explained in a straightforward manner. Bing. bang. boom. done. Then I turned off the service engine light with my OBD2 device. Since then, everything has worked out perfectly. The service engine light would have turned back on by now if this part didn't actually fix the problem or if there was another issue related to that code. That is not the case. Do yourself a favor and read this article. If you get the P0496 fault code (and if you don't have an OBD2 device, you can get it diagnosed for free at AutoZone or Advance Auto), purchase this part and replace it yourself. It will save you a significant amount of money.

Solution for the Canister Purge Valve on a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS 1
5/5

4 L. A Chevrolet Sonic RS 1 from 2013 is for sale. Turbocharged 4 liter engine. The front passenger side of the car made a ticking noise, which we noticed. It sounded almost like a leaf or a gum wrapper had become stuck and flapping in the air vent (we don't throw things up on our dash, so that wasn't the problem). The ticking rhythm did not increase or decrease when the engine's RPMs were changed, and the ticking was not always noticeable. After doing some research, I discovered that other owners of this engine had experienced a similar symptom, though it was usually accompanied by an error code - There was no error code for us. The Canister Purge Valve, I reasoned, was most likely the source of the problem. I looked around and found the best deal on Amazon, so I replaced it with the help of a friend who is a mechanic. It's not a complicated fix - In less than five minutes I needed help removing the electrical plug from the purge valve because the sliding lock was tight (I'm a novice), and I didn't want to break the slider, so I asked for help. Shipping was quick, and the part is original equipment. It also silenced our obnoxious ticking.

The old part was easily removed, and the new one was installed in the same manner
5/5

My check engine light had been on for a while, but the shop kept telling me it was just my gas cap, so they simply reset it. I finally gave in and bought my own OBD reader, then did some research and found this article. The part arrived in perfect condition. The old part was simple to remove, and the new one was similarly simple to install. It's been a few months, and my engine light hasn't come on yet. On a more positive note, the absence of a check engine light means I can use my remote start once more.

It worked perfectly
5/5

When we were stopped at a stop light, our car made a ticking noise and idled very rough. When you pressed the gas pedal, it felt sluggish, almost as if it were being held back. I had a check engine light as well, and this part solved all of my problems in less than two minutes with no tools required. This was money well spent.

I was driving my car to get something one day when I came across
5/5

My car broke down at an intersection while I was driving to get coffee one day, but I was able to restart it. The car, on the other hand, was chugging along like a tractor from the 1940s. trailer. "This is very unusual," I thought to myself, so I started looking into it. When I returned home, I discovered two pending codes on my vehicle: P0496 and P0171. br>br>There was a purge error on my car, and it was running lean. The purge valve needed to be replaced, so I did so. The new part corrected the running lean (P0171) as well as the rough running. The purge error, however, was not corrected. The other error, I believe, is caused by the canister or solenoid. In either case, if your car is acting up and you have one of the codes, it might be worth trying this part to see if it resolves the issue.

On the Chevy Sonic 1, it works for the P0496 code
5/5

4L turbo. I had a check engine light come on, and after having Autozone read the codes, they advised me to "see a mechanic. " I went to the Chevy Sonic forum, and they said this was the most likely cause of the code. (I believe the code is P0496)br>br>I was able to change this fairly quickly; it was cold and rainy at the time, but it only took about 10 minutes or less; there are youtube instructions available. All of this was done in the dark, with a flashlight in my hand, and while dressed for work. Anyone could do it if I could. br>br>After installing this part, I disconnected the battery for the night, drove the car for a few weeks, and the check-engine light came on. The engine light did not come on again.

This is a fantastic offer
5/5

OEM. As expected, it functions properly. The replacement does not necessitate the use of any special tools. You'll have to squeeze the ring and pull up on one side. It's a tight fit in there, but you'll be fine. Code po496 was cleared (it took a few days, but I wasn't driving much that week). Cruze LT, year 2013, 1. 4 75,000+.

OEM is not the same as aftermarket
3/5

I entered all of the correct information for my daughter's car, searched for the part, and this came up as a direct replacement part. Once the part arrived, it was obvious from the first look that the plugs were not the same as the OEM part. I work out of state, so I'm pressed for time, so I cut the ends off of both to try and make it work, but that didn't work. Now I was out of money and had to go to a parts store and order the correct part, which would take another month, and she would have to wait another month for me to come home and change it.
