Over the years, I have had to replace so many gaskets, which has cost me a lot of money. It seems after I fix my car, my car cabin is smelling like burnt oil. Additionally, the engine would eat a lot of oil, as if the engine ate it all up. In my time driving, I was constantly refilling the oil before scheduled oil changes, so I kept synthetic oil in my trunk wherever I went. The problem with my cam plug did not occur to me until I discovered a forum with owners of the same car/engine citing it as a common problem. I did a simple fix for a reasonable price - I did not have to pay a mechanic hundreds of dollars. After reading the forums and looking at the pictures, I thought it all looked pretty straightforward. Using basic tools, this took me 30 minutes to complete. And I'm not even all that skilled when it comes to fixing It took only some long flat head screwdrivers, a Phillips screwdriver, a hammer, a wrench, and some gasket sealant for me to complete the project. You just have to remove the air intake tube and MAF on the passenger's side and the coolant reservoir on the driver's side. You can see the top of the old cam plug, so use a screwdriver at the seam and hammer it in until it punctures. After removing it with the screwdriver, replace it with your spare. Put a cloth into the plug hole to wipe it down. On the new plug, apply some silicone gasket sealant and press firmly into place. It will cure in 24 hours if you drive again after the sealant has set. My old plugs had oil smeared all over them when I first saw them. It was obvious when I got them off that there were bits of broken seal along the edges, which compromised It was dripping from the old plug and fell on the exhaust pipes, where it burned and gave off the burning oil odor. The process took me 30 minutes, but I solved a problem that is costing me hundreds of dollars over the years and causing untold pain. You should always purchase two, since when you replace one, you should purchase I had a really tight driver's side and it took me a while to get off, too. It was so easy to remove the passengers side and there was oil all over As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the leaky one. I spent $15 on my car here, and it was the best $15 I ever spent! *BUILDINGS ARE *BROKE*UPDATED. It has been over two months since there has been any oil smell. Earlier in the year, I spent about $800 replacing the other seals on the engine, and when they were all replaced, I began getting the smell all the time. Since then, the smell has been significantly reduced, and I don't use as much oil. It is always the same place where I last left it whenever I check the oil dip. It's so fun to be a happy person!.
According to the manufacturer, this replacement plug appears to be identical to the original.
I am very happy to report this cleared up the issue. If I had a friend, I would recommend this to them.
I wish you the best of luck with the installation. Their performance is excellent, however.
The Chevrolet.
With UltraGray RTV, you can seal the circumference and the bore of these tubes and they will stay in place.
Take a look somewhere else. I found that these weren't up to spec and did not fit properly. It was necessary for them to be about three feet tall. In order to meet OEM specifications, we have made the product 5mm bigger. It goes without saying that these don't work in the right way when you're trying to fix your car.
My mechanic trusts this brand, so I ordered it and it arrived on time.
Despite the high price, shipping was quick and I needed this item.
