Questions & Answers
It was too small for my 96 Mercury 150 HP. It was necessary for me to take it to a repair shop. They said the impeller was too big and the housing was too small. The pump was stumbling around inside the housing. Purchase a factory part, in my opinion.
Fits an Alpha One gen 1 inboard outboard motor.

I bought this kit to replace the impeller in my 2014 Mercury 150 HP outboard. The positives are that it arrived on time, and the gaskets were close enough that I could force them on without tearing them apart. I can't say if it worked because the old pump was in good shape. Regardless, because the old one was 7 years old, I installed it. The installation appeared to be fine, but there appeared to be a clog in the system due to the old gasket, which was exacerbated when I tested it. I took the boat to the shop to have it checked out and a factory Impeller kit installed. Although I believe the kit would have worked, I did not want to take a chance. UPDATE: I had to take the boat to the dealer, and I discovered that this kit made things worse; in fact, the old pump wasn't bad before, but now it was. This pump, I was told, would not fit because the housing and impeller were both too small. That is the impeller's hub, and it was wobbling and not working. The thermostats refused to fully open; This was the issue.
