Selected User Reviews For Johnson Pump - 3001.3621 09-812B-1 F6 Impeller - MC97
It appears to include the impeller (a genuine Johnson part), a gasket, and an o-ring. Rings, lube, and a user manual are included.
Great quality and functions identically to the original, which I believe was also manufactured by Johnson. The model number is the same, and the other one had no problems, but it had only been a little more than two years, and it is recommended that these be replaced every two years. I changed it myself, using two screwdrivers to remove the old one. Despite the fact that the other one was damaged while being removed with screwdrivers, the new one fit perfectly and followed the old one's instructions. The only thing I didn't like about this one was that it didn't come with any instructions in the package. However, it is of good quality, and I had no problems following the old instructions that I had saved from the original package.
On my 1991 Ski Centurion, it works perfectly. I've had no problems with this product after using it for several years (with regular replacements as recommended by the manufacturer). Installing and disassembling the impeller is a little difficult, but I believe this is true of all water pump impellers. The best combination appears to be good channel lock pliers and Vasoline; however, be careful not to damage the rubber with the pliers.
It was simple to install in my 1999 Mastercraft 205 inboard, especially with the lubricant that came with it. I'd never changed one of these before, but there are videos on YouTube that show you how. It's a fraction of the cost of hiring a marine mechanic.
I was unable to use the no-name option. For the sake of peace of mind, I'm willing to pay a little extra. br>It works great and is simple to set up. There are no issues.
Tip: To make prying out easier, use two screwdrivers/paint can openers on opposite ends. After an hour of attempting to remove it, I discovered this. With even pressure on both ends, I was able to pry the impeller out of the housing. *

My Mercruiser 260, which has a closed cooling system, began to overheat, so I removed the old impeller, which was completely destroyed. br>br>I had company coming over and wanted to use the boat, so I ordered it with overnight shipping. It arrived when it was supposed to. br>br>It includes the lubricant for mounting it (which makes it a lot easier) as well as the pump housing seal. br>br>If you found this review useful, please mark it as such so that others can benefit from it as well.
I've seen a couple of posts about how import impellers aren't the real deal. THIS IS ACTUALLY THE REAL THING! My MasterCraft 351W now has it installed. They include a new gasket, rubber O rings if necessary (which my impeller didn't require), and a small amount of lube. I intend to purchase a second one as a backup.
The 99 Indmar ltr fit perfectly. It slides right in with the help of the installation fluid. The impeller can be changed with all of the parts.
