Despite this water pump being in a Ford box, I would give it 4 stars because it's just one of those parts that the automaker purchases from elsewhere in and rends, I gave it 4 stars because even though it's technically in a Ford box, it's one An object with a stamp number on its side can be a cheaper alternative than using a Ford box.
In order to indicate that it is an original equipment manufacturer, the box or pump must not be marked in any way. I don't regard it as worthless. There are no distinguishing features from it except it looks generic. In order to avoid waiting for another one, I installed it. 1/2 the price when you buy a Gates.
However, as I don't believe this pump is OEM motorcraft, I can make out from the box a Ford sticker (see pictures) and there is a number found which appears to be generic but actually belongs to oem. I was able to use this part until the truck was pulled apart again.
It is a great pump for water. A pain to install because the fan is positioned behind the tube. In addition to having access to a technician, I used Amazon to do the parts myself. There the water pump cost much less than at Ford dealership in terms of price.
The pump fit perfectly, circulation would be better, I could feel it moving better under power than before. Working with 350, but not an issue.
Used properly.
