My truck is a Dodge Ram 2500, which was manufactured in 2001. The bumper had to be removed, but it wasn't a difficult task.

What a fantastic upgrade from the standard product. It does exactly what it says it is going to do. On my 1999 Ram, I didn't have to remove the bumper. The radiator slid right in after I removed the top plastic decoration piece. Because most 99 Ram trucks only have 3/8 transmission lines, I'm not giving it five stars because they could have included a simple 3/8 to 1/2 inch conversion connector in the kit. Because I couldn't find one, I had to make do with a Lowe's plumbing fitting for the time being. So, for the price, I believe they should include two of those conversion connections in the box, in addition to the 1/2 to 1/2 inch connection they provide.
Even on 90 days, I could haul 160 miles on the freeway! The trans, on the other hand, does not even reach 120 mph when hauling up grades during the winter months. If you run a grill in the winter, I recommend getting a grill cover so that your trans can reach operating temperatures of 140 degrees.
It's a little more expensive than I'd prefer, but it's a much better unit. It's more than twice as big as the original, and it keeps my automatic transmission much cooler. It's extremely simple to set up. Comes with new bolts and can be mounted in existing holes. Install a new trans cooler, cut the existing lines, and connect the new lines to the existing lines. Ensure that all fasteners are securely fastened. Done. br>br>At the same time, I installed an off-brand four-core aluminum radiator, which was a world apart. The trans cooler, on the other hand, was more expensive than the radiator.
It went on my gen 2 ram Cummins with no problems, and it's clearly over twice the capacity of the factory one. It looks fantastic, and the transmission is kept cool.
I can't comment on performance because my truck is still apart, but it appears to be well made.
The installation went off without a hitch.
We figured it out, and now we're kicking ourselves for the negative review! Thank you for the part, it works perfectly.
