Because I already knew what would happen, I had a fairly easy time installing the software. Due to using extra nuts and bolts because I never want to use the screws that come with the kit, and because I didn't want to cut into the factory lines, I had to get 2 1/2 more feet of hose. It was about 100 degrees outside when I traveled around town for about two hours. I was able to use everything that came in the kit and I was fine. There was never a temperature increase over 150 in my room. As a result of not having the cooler, I was getting 190-190 There is no doubt that this is an excellent The vehicle will be taken on a road trip next week, so I will update this review in a week. Please note EDIT It has been roughly about two months since we upgraded and so far it has been great. In towing as well as driving I have never seen my transmission temperature rise above 150 degrees. It was a wonderful thing to have this cooler with me when driving my camper and towing. If you want to maintain low transmission temperatures and prolong transmission life, this would be a good product to use.

This product is worth every penny

The 2003 GMC 1500HD 6 has an optional 6WD. A value of 4L80E is 0x00. I was very happy with how quickly it arrived and how easy it was am using Amazon fittings so I can use the original snap in lines and I am using the left line with a coupler so that I am able to cut it and rotate it in 90'degrees. This should make a big difference to me since I frequently haul 10,000lbs. have not hauled yet but the temperatures have dropped by about 50 degrees just in normal mode. In addition to the ATF I had to use, I needed about a quart of fuel.

Trucool 40K is the same

This is the same product as Trucool 40K but under a Don't waste your money on that and buy this. There was a 60 degree difference between the hot weather in Arizona, which averaged 100 degrees. There has been a tremendous improvement since then. All hoses and hardware are included. There is no need to flip it upside down. It is okay to have it turned around. It has been said that the temperature does not change.

I deducted a star because the brass fittings were on an aluminum part. They should be stainless steel. I have not installed it yet, but will see if it works. The following changes have been made to the report Based on a 2010 F-150 There were a lot of problems with the 150 install. In order to make this work, all of the fittings must be adapted with large 5/8 in barbs. They have a slightly smaller taper in their fittings and do not follow the same rules as equal-sized threads. No sense at all. My towing trip wouldn't be as long if I didn't have to send the rig back.

It would be nice to have custom brackets made for the cooler

By comparison, this cooler does a lot more than the original. I made a couple of brackets to mount it so it looks I painted the chassis a quick coat of chassis paint to hide behind the grille, and it turned out very nice. Please note, this is not a direct installation. Some brackets will be needed, and optional items will have to be modified. Additionally, you will have to get some fittings to connect to OEM lines if you want to maintain an OE feel and look. If I were to purchase this unit again, I would say.

In my opinion, this cooler is very good, it's simple to install, however if you plan to install it on a truck you might need to head to your auto parts store for an additional 3 foot of 3/8 hose if you haven't purchased it Previously, my 6l80e ran between 210 and 220 during traffic in downtown areas and stop and go traffic, but now, with this cooler I run about 180/180. If the thermostat is set to 194, then it will open at 190. There was something I didn't like about the brass fittings mounting in the aluminum cooler. I put Teflon on the fittings and white lithium grease on the threads to reduce the probability It was a good value for.
