If the cooler is not bypassed and is left to work, it is usually fine at any time. However, if it is cold in cold climates the cooler may encounter shift issues. In order to promote fuel efficiency and improve performance, the bypass design was created to heat the fluid faster to operating temperature.

A diesel engine is rated at 3. On my 7, I experienced a persistent problem with the transmission of the 4R100. I have experienced overheating in my 3 diesel RV, especially when I tow my Toad up Almost 180 degrees is all I can do now, and I feel that the transmission has been extended. It was a simple and straightforward installation process.
Although it is a good cooler, I started off by praising the seller for completely going above and beyond what they had to do to provide excellent customer service. The seller now has a customer for life if they will let him. I appreciate everything that you have done for me.
I installed on a 05 Sierra and it works well.
My 2002 Yukon Denali xl 6 was installed with it. I watched some YouTube videos and made some adjustments, and the transmission temperature has gone down significantly since using this cooler. My black paint made it hard for my black grill to show through. I did buy some other fittings to make it easier to keep the original aluminum hoses and avoid using the rubber hoses.
