Questions & Answers

Could anyone tell me if it will work on a 2004 Lincoln Aviator? Is it true that the original OEM cooler is about 12 inches in diameter?

You can use it with your Aviator, indicating it will fit your vehicle using Amazon's fit check. This note applies In general, cooling is affected by the size and location of the unit. It would be better for me to get a cooler as large as or bigger The coolers should be tight enough to allow as much cool air as possible, so you can even use two smaller coolers connected together if there is no room. Wishing you the best of luck.

Would you be able to tell me what size power steering oil cooler fits a 2004 GMC XUV?

There is already a power steering cooler on the 2004 GMC Envoy that you can buy at an auto parts store if this is for this car. Whenever you're replacing the original cooler with the universal one, make sure the new cooler has at least the same volume as the original and that it is mounted horizontally to allow air to flow through it freely.

I compare it with the power steering cooler on my Acura MDX and it's a very small cooling device. The OEM cooler may be replaced by this, but I'm not sure if it will be a good choice?

The Hyundai Santa Fe I used had a 2004 model. Despite not having that vehicle anymore, I think this thing is about 12 inches long and about four inches wide. I am unsure how to tell if the power steering cooler is working, but it has been working just fine. It was a pretty big improvement over the existing OEM cooler on the Santa Fe, as it was just a copper pipe loop.

What is the safety rating of this application on a 2010 Ford F150 The number of 150 is What's the difference between 4 and 8? The original condenser in my air conditioner is stopped up, so I'd like to replace it with this one?

When it comes to size, you need to measure your older cooler and make sure that you replace it with one that is equal to or larger than the old one. I see that there are two sizes available in the parts stores for your truck, both 2 1/2 X 9 and 5 X 9.

For the weekend warden, this worked, but not for the weekday warden
5/5

It fixed my leaky cooler and did what it was supposed to do. novice repairmen will not be able to successfully complete this project. I did it by making some mounting brackets from little pieces left over from Home Depot. There was some mounting hardware provided, but it had to go through the AC and radiator, which were both old and fragile. I made a bracket from some stock metal, and it worked just fine. Tubing supplied for the job is more than adequate. All in all, this is a very good part for the price. Be warned, it takes some time to install. But if you want to save some money over a factory part then it is a great choice. What you do defines who you are as a man. It might be a good idea to spray some black paint on the walls. The front grille provides a clear view of the engine.

This is a cheaply made but functional product
3/5

In my opinion, it was overpriced given how small it was. My favorite part is how light it is and how cheap it feels. My 98 Cherokee only gets used off-road, so I installed this on it The highway. The power steering in my vehicle was boiling over after heavy wheeling, but the replacement cooler got the problem under control. A larger and more sturdy one will be replacing it. Hayden is not the type of person I expected from him. The transmission cooler they provide for the Jeep is very well built and performance is excellent.

like a charm for the 2008 Honda Accord
5/5

Used this to replace the power steering oil cooler on a 2008 Honda Accord. Even though the Amazon site says that this item is not applicable, I decided to buy it because it was helpful in the other reviews and questions. I could tell it would fit in any vehicle as long as the hose size matched. In order to modify the air conditioner, we had to remove the passenger side wheel to gain access to the hose connection. An angle grinder was needed to cut the rusted hose clamps. That was all that was required to solve the leak, and it never happened again. The results should be good.

The cooler was leaking from the factory
5/5

Installing it is very easy due to its small size. No leaking has been detected, and my power steering system seems to be in good condition.

This little cooler is great for a reasonable price
4/5

It is a straight forward and simple product. The power steering pump on my Subaru WRX had been found to be wearing out, so I installed this inline with the power steering system. As far as we can tell, it worked well when we took it to a couple track days in 100 degree heat.

Putting in place a leaking power steering return line was simple
5/5

It was easier to replace the cooler and run new lines than to try to fix the bad power steering line running along the frame of a 2011 Nissan Titan.

This item is designed to fit 1996 Ford Explorer models
5/5

The Power Steering Oil Cooler on this product will fit 1996 Ford Explorer XLT models to replace busted or ruptured oil coolers. The one I recently had had a hole in it, and my power steering fluid continuously leaked through it. In addition to making it difficult to turn the wheel, this problem can sometimes cause your vehicle to Getting this problem fixed right away is a must.

I give it a 5 because it's great
5/5

On my 5 things to do list, I put this. We have only tried 0 Mustangs so far and they have worked really well. Although I like the device, I don't really like the instructions that come with it because it asks you to attach the hose before mounting the device itself and then cut it and attach both to return lines and to On a mustang there is not much room to work with, so it took longer than many would have had to do it, but it's on and running, and it looks cool underneath the air dam as well.
