Selected User Reviews For Fel-Pro-72709 Oil Cooler Gasket
The following applications have been installed Even 5 months after purchasing this Mazda 5 it is still holding its own. I had read reviews about cheap gaskets losing their seal within a few months, so I went with a reputable brand called Fel-Pro The pro side. I got a real item from this seller and everything worked out well. I have included some notes below from what I remember. Although quite a bit of effort was involved, the install was very straightforward. It didn't take very long to drain the oil, as only the amount that was in the filter housing went into the trash. It was no trouble to leave all the coolant hoses connected, and I did not have to remove the oil cooler. In the process of replacing the oil filter housing, I used one bolt to attach the top part of the oil filter housing to the lower bolt hole. We needed this to be able to remove/work on the oil cooler bolt that was located at the top of the oil cooler. It's important to put the new gasket in in a specific way when installing it, because there are certain ways to do it. With the gasket was a set of instructions illustrating this as well. In addition, I bought and installed a new oil filter housing gasket, which I am glad I did, because the old one was rusting There is a video on youtube showing this gasket being repaired on an Mazda CX5. That video gave me the motivation to do it myself.
have tried a different brand casket, but it only lasted for a few months before it began to leak. For my research, I use the Fel-E has been installed for a year and has not leaked still using the original oil cooler. He is very professional and his workmanship is excellent. Be sure to install it in the right orientation when you do.
The Mazda 5 was manufactured in 2009.
This is due to the poor design of the oil cooler, which leaks and damages the gaskets. I found out that there was an upgraded oil cooler available after I ordered this gasket. It's been a week since I sent back the gasket, and I have not received confirmation that it's been received.
Dealership wanted $700 to replace the whole oil cooler. This is an excellent product. It was only $20 to purchase this gasket, which solved my oil leak.
My leaking oil cooler was fixed thanks to this oil cooler that fit perfectly into my 2008 Mazda 5. Felpro gaskets have been a good choice for me for many years, and I have always been pleased with the quality.
Has a tight fit and does not.
