The replacement cooler fit like OEM, so far no leaks or issues have occurred* The hardest part was removing the metal line from the old cooler. However, the new unit went on in minutes, the bolt holes lined up, and the lines went into the While it would have been helpfull to get some instructions inside the box, the process is pretty straight forward and there are tons of video tutorials on You Tube to help. Buying a transmission line removal tool will be required to remove old transmission lines from the cooler when being replaced. I purchased one from Autozone for $10, and I bought it, but I can use it for other Ford vehicles if needed in the future.
A couple of weeks after installation, both aluminum fittings started leaking at the location where the tubing is inserted (not the o-rings The heat exchanger itself is sealed with a ring). My tubing is directly from the supplier and the fittings are leaking. I was disappointed in the quality of the fittings, which I cannot repair. It would cost approximately $36 to replace a pair, but they are replaceable. In the original I bought this oil cooler for my 2005 F150 XLT and it fit It was no problem installing the cooler line or installing the mounting screws.
I found this to be quite simple. This cooling tower bolted right on and the fittings are the same as the previous one. It's a bonus! I had an almost equivalent transmission temperature drop of about 20 degrees since it was about 1/3 larger than the old one.
A 2007 Ford F-150 came with this system, which I purchased and installed With no issues, I was able to get 150. Based on reviews I have read, I have revised my decision Both rings are in good shape). As it is larger than the original one on my vehicle, I expect it to provide adequate cooling regardless of.
The 2007 Ford F150 XLT has a 5-speed manual transmission. There is a Triton 4. The product fits perfectly. It is easy to.
Fit is perfect and the quality is superb. As a matter of fact, it was so much cheaper than the genuine Ford part that it was absurd. It was a great decision for me to purchase here rather than the other place. The service was great as well!.
It was just a part that I needed to make sure it worked.
Everything appeared to be in perfect working order and was able to be reattached and fit perfectly!.
