Derale 15602 Engine Oil Cooler Kit

I have no complaints about the cooler it looks good and it was easy to install. Unfortunately, the hose fittings were not brass as advertised, and the mounting rods had a through style design, so I can't give it 5 stars. I had two of the four in my kit break when I installed it. The good news is that I had other methods to secure my financial future. How well the cooler performs will only be known as time goes on. My toy hauler will be towed after I update this post. As advertised, I'd like the cooling to be 50 degrees. Update 2 for more I am sending an update #2 so that you may be aware This past weekend, I towed my trailer loaded with all my gear up into the mountains. When I used to tow long and steep passes, I would often see oil temperatures of 275° when running the cooler. The performance was pretty disappointing to me. Despite my high expectations, the cooler itself needs to be double the size of what I had expected.

Pipe dope did not seem to work, despite using it. A lot of the fittings seemed to have been machined incorrectly. I can't figure out how to stop the leak as of April 2, 2016. In terms of quality, the cooler itself looks like it's good, but the fittings that go into the cooler rely on rubber orings. Because the orings are not machined tight, the fittings keep twisting so the oring gets destroyed over time. So, there is no space for the orings to rest on the cooler. Fortunately, the rubber seal on the oil filter adapter was completely deformed and therefore could not keep the oil filter in place. The old one was replaced by something that was I'm pleased with the results so far. One of the most recent issues is that the oil hose has begun to leak. This is what I did My initial purchase of this cooler led me to think I was buying a quality product, but this thing has been nothing but a headache. The quality of everything is poor, even though I bought their premium model cooler. Taking a final look at this system is my plan. The hose I'm buying is a name brand. I am getting some I would try to use the Modine liquid oil cooler again if I had to do it over. My last purchase of derale was a mistake.
