On my Passat II of 2006, I installed this. This means that there are no automatics. Despite an ac that cooled only mediocrely, I still had problems with my air conditioning. As well, I noticed that my AC cooling fan was not working on the radiator. My system is doing so much better after I replaced a fan and the solenoid valve at the same time.
I recharged my system and it's so much running smoother. The world is good to me. Please see the installation note for more information. As part of the transition process, you may be tempted to harm yourself. There's no reason why it can't be done. This is not an easy task. Accept it, accept some difficulty, and prepare yourself for a lot of difficulty if you are replacing the pump while the engine is running. In other words, I did what I said I would do. To begin, take your c clip pliers and attach the 45 degree angle attachment to them. As soon as you get under the car, you will see why. In the end, I decided to grab the only clip end I could see, squeezed and pulled until I finally got one side out, then used a thin screwdriver to pull it out. With a small Orange handle pry bar, I then pried open the seal. If you have a screwdriver, you can probably use it. It came out when it was pinched. I have a whole different kind of headache getting the new one in. I find it easier to take out and replace the old one than to put in the new one. Make sure the valve is fully seated in the hole before proceeding. There might feel to be no way out, but there probably isn't one. A wooden block and a small hammer can be used to tap. ** 2. The process of relocating that C clip is a pain. You'll need to squeeze the clip down pretty hard and push it down into the hole. At some point, you may need to hold the clip and use a slim screwdriver to push the other side down. I wish you the best of At the end of the day, it's worth it. As an alternative, you can take the pump off and perform the task.
I've never seen anything like it! I have found a solution! My air conditioner broke, and I paid $1200 to the dealer to fix it In order to replace this valve, the entire compressor needs to be replaced. My first thought was to try it out on my own before going to the dealer after reading up on the Audi Forum about this valve. Due to the fact that I had a Zexel compressor, I ordered the valve for the Denso compressor, which did not fit my compressor. The deck arrived in Washington, DC just in time to deal with the heat and humidity that we have been experiencing. As soon as I activate the AC, it feels as if I am in the middle of winter in the car! I really appreciate your efforts.
I was able to do it! It wasn't possible to turn on the A/C It is not uncommon for intermittent A/C to come on and off to cause different symptoms for different people. Even after running the A/C for more than an hour, there was no air conditioning in my VW Passat. The A/C runs perfectly now that this valve has been installed. Installing a new compressor would cost more than $1200 at the dealership. I saved more than $1000 by installing this valve. Please see the following installation With an angled snap ring tool (on a 2006 VW Passat) I was able to install it while the compressor was in place. It is important to get rid of the old valve before removing the old one (refrigerant is extremely dangerous). A lubricant MUST be used on the O-ring Installation of the new valve requires lubricating the rings with A/C lubricant. Before charging the system, be sure to install the snap ring again. Charge the system with a can of A/C lubricant before refilling with refrigerant as well.
It saved me more than £600 when I had a quote for it. After spending $1000 for a new compressor, we looked at the symptoms for faulty valves, and my AC was acting like it was supposed to. There were cooling periods every now and then. We experienced a delay in cooling for between 15 and 20 minutes before our air conditioning started. Other times, it would blow cold air for a while, then work again. When I searched on the internet I found the RKX valve was the most reliable, you could maybe get a cheaper one but everyone recommended the RKX valve. It did have to come from the USA, but as with Amazon, you pay all import taxes and there are no hidden fees. Just under 2 weeks were needed for the valve to arrive and a few hours were required to install it. A few days later I got a cheque for RKX made it to the top of my list for top-rated items! A 99 Groupon voucher for a AC recharge at ATS resulted in ice cold air that worked immediately. I would recommend RKX most definitely! One thing I forgot to mention be sure to order the correct valve for the compressor on your car and disassemble the system before you try and install.
The cooling process could take too long at times, even though it would work. My face is now filled with ice cool air. It is extremely important not to change the whole compressor if you have a variable displacement compressor, especially for European cars. Ensure the solenoid is a RKX, and it will save you the expense of replacing the whole compressor. Hope you have a successful day!.
I don't have to buy a new compressor to get cold air. If you want to remove it, you will need long 90 snap ring pliers. This is a good product, get it once and you'll never look back.
The fitting is perfect and the AC operates perfectly now, an AC that had intermittent operation and poor cooling has become a perfect AC when I'm.
an excellent product that comes as a factory replacement and works well.
