I knew it was just this valve that needed replacement, but the dealer wanted to replace the entire compressor. My first try at this myself was easy, and I also ordered a set of HVAC gauges and borrowed a vacuum pump, and with some purge and recharge oil, I was able to get it all done for less than $150, and the dealer wanted $1800 for it.
This is a part that I bought to replace a damaged one on my VW Jetta 2016.
When the air conditioning in my 2011 Audi A4 stopped working, I was familiar with diagnosing it because I am a tech. There is no option to buy the compressor individually from a dealer or auto parts store. Unlike Sanden or Valeo, my Audi's compressor is made by Denso (Sanden and Valeo use different compressor valves). The valve I received was identical to the one I had originally purchased! This didn't resolve my a/c issue it was probably just a matter of my compressor failing.
Good product. We will ship your package as soon as possible. The issue, however, did not get resolved by this. Even though the AC blows randomly, it still blows. The A/C relay #10 was actually the one that went off.
